This fixes only original blocking finding 1 (stale head.tmp after crash); original low backup scratch issue remains explicitly deferred. New marker-created child-process exit boundary proved baseline failure at first next-operation append; receipt /home/paulca/.cache/oficina-home-floor-fix/baseline.log. HumanPROMPTIndependent Claude Fable design review. Read-only, no edits/implementation/deployment. Review /home/paulca/amadan.net/oficina/home/.claude/worktrees/overnight-assertion-design/docs/superpowers/plans/2026-09-07-suite-assertion-contract.md against the binding Home spec, fresh original-owner step3 draft supersession note at Home4a442a1, and Rastrillo merged design at /home/paulca/amadan.net/rastrillo/rastrillo/docs/superpowers/specs/2026-08-31-identity-assertions-design.md (if local checkout stale, exact text supplied separately below). Its actual origin/main is2c3ae782 and text remains NOT RULED. Home discussions3/9 handback established original owner left source and root retains SMTP/canary/deployment. No competing assertion verifier exists or is proposed; one Rastrillo implementation and Oficina profile. Parent requested bounded design-only shared assertion/verifier+suite-onlyconsumer registry, original Ed25519 mention explicitly withdrawn upon fresh4a442a1 discovery. Do not equate merged design text with approval. Review recommendations for security/correctness and identify actual unresolved cross-spec decisions; avoid inventing fresh permission gates for directory self-exchange or safe implementation choices already authorized overnight. Important questions: framework fixed P256 wire vsHomeEd25519; Homefetchedkeys vsEleven-derived frameworknever-speak; strict parsing vs extension profile; audorigin appbinding; actualAuthTime versus issuanceTime (freshness cannot be forged from oldHomecookie); registry lifecycle with no external consumers; loginCSRF and browser cookie SameSite during POST; replayretention/cache rollover and horizon; no newUIJSexemption. Current code stillstep2, no consumer/provision tables. Protocol exact integration corrections cannot be called alreadyruled. No new usercopy. Return APPROVE (design recommendation, with any named real decision prerequisites) or CHANGES REQUIRED with precise blockers. This design can be implementation-ready only after real cross-spec choices are recorded and shared framework contract corrected; do not demand userpermission for package names or original directoryselfexchange. If scope too broad, identify smallest independent registry/contract slice that can be approved without inventingcrypto. Explicitly distinguish your technical endorsement from productpolicy authority. # 🤖 Signed identity assertions: a fourth identity plugin Design, 2026-08-31. Filed as amadan `rastrillo/rastrillo` discussion #1 by the Sheets and Docs design sessions, jointly. **NOT RULED** — this is the written form for Paul's review, and no code has been written. §9 is the list of things only he can settle. Instance-per-account makes single sign-in a day-one problem, and `decisions.md` says it directly: "three instances must not mean three credentials." Two apps arrived at the same answer in the same week without seeing each other's code — one identity origin holds the credentials and runs the ceremony; instances receive identity as a signed assertion and verify a signature. Instances never run WebAuthn, never hold a passkey RP, and never see a password. That is Tito's recorded pattern, and the parenthetical is the whole point: > Identity lives beside the router, outside the per-account blast > radius, and reaches instances only as signed assertions — headers are > stripped-and-re-minted, and signing (not stripping alone) is what > stops a peer socket from forging them. Neither app is blocked. Both can hand-roll verification. The ask is that they not do it twice, differently, at a trust boundary where the failure modes are silent. ## 0. The one thing the report did not ask for, and needs The discussion asks for a **verifier**. It does not mention a minter. But the identity origin in both named deployments is itself a rastrillo app — Sheets' home credential origin is where the passkey RP lives. So somebody has to sign these assertions, and if the framework ships only the verifying half, the signing half gets hand-rolled once per origin. A signer that disagrees with its verifier about one byte of the signed input is the classic interop bug, and it fails in the least legible way available: intermittently, at a trust boundary, under load. **Recommendation: ship both halves in one package, with golden vectors pinning the wire format**, exactly as `crypto` does. That is also what makes the format reviewable — a vector file is a thing a person can check, where "both sides call the same function" is not. This is the first thing to rule on, because it sizes everything else. ## 1. What this composes, and what it must not invent The `keyring` package records the ruling this design inherits: *no new cryptography*. Every operation composes `crypto`'s existing, golden-vectored primitives. That gets one failure mode off the list for free. The report names **algorithm confusion** as "the evergreen one" — and it is, in a JOSE world, because a JWT carries an `alg` header the attacker can edit. `crypto` has no algorithm agility at all: ```go func Sign(kp *Keypair, context string, msg []byte) ([]byte, error) func Verify(signPub []byte, context string, msg, sig []byte) bool ``` One curve (ECDSA P-256), one hash (SHA-256), one encoding (raw r‖s, 32+32 zero-padded), and a caller-supplied `context` string that domain- separates every use. There is no field in which to say "none", and no second algorithm to downgrade to. **Algorithm confusion is designed out here rather than defended against** — which is a reason to build this on `crypto` rather than on a JWT library, and a reason the wire format should not be a JWT even in shape. The pinned context string is `rastrillo/assertion/v1`. Pinned means pinned: changing it strands every origin already signing under it. ## 2. The wire format An assertion is a compact, URL-safe string — it travels in a query parameter or an `Authorization` header, so it must survive both: ``` base64url(payload JSON) "." base64url(signature) ``` The payload: | Field | Type | Meaning | |---|---|---| | `v` | int | Format version. `1`. | | `iss` | string | The identity origin, scheme included. | | `aud` | string | The instance this assertion is for, scheme included. | | `sub` | string | Opaque person ref, stable per person at this origin. | | `kid` | string | Which signing key. | | `jti` | string | 128 bits of randomness, base64url. Single use. | | `iat` | int | Unix seconds, when minted. | | `exp` | int | Unix seconds, when it stops being accepted. | `kid` sits **inside** the signed payload, and is read from the untrusted payload only to select which public key to verify against. Swapping it is not an attack: the signature covers it, so a swapped `kid` fails verification against every key. Reading it first just avoids trial-verifying against each key in turn. Verification order matters, and the order is: decode, check `v`, select key by `kid`, **verify the signature**, and only then look at any other claim. Nothing before the signature check may have a side effect. ## 3. Audience binding The report expects this to be the one two independent implementations get subtly different, and it is right to. **`aud` must equal this instance's own origin, compared byte for byte.** Not a suffix match, not a prefix match, not a host-only comparison that ignores the scheme, no wildcards, and no list of trusted audiences. The value comes from the same `Origin` the app already hands `csrf.Protect` and `sessions.New` — one origin string per app, configured once, already load-bearing for two other security decisions. The plugin refuses to construct with an empty one, the way `auth` refuses an empty `InstanceKey`. `iss` is checked the same way against a single configured identity origin. A *list* of accepted issuers is how a multi-tenant deployment quietly becomes cross-tenant, so the config takes one — and if migrating between origins ever needs two, that is a dated, deliberate addition with its own review, not a slice in the config from day one. Both apps are multi-tenant by construction, so every deployment has thousands of sibling instances to replay against. This check is what stands between them. ## 4. Replay: single use, short expiry, and a store that prunes itself Two mechanisms, neither sufficient alone. **Short expiry.** `exp - iat` measured in seconds, not minutes. The assertion is a handoff, not a credential; the long-lived thing is the session minted afterwards. Proposed default 60s, with a **hard ceiling enforced in code** (300s) so that a config typo cannot turn a handoff into a bearer token with a long tail. `iat` more than 30s in the future is refused — clock skew is real, but unbounded skew tolerance is just a longer expiry wearing a hat. **Single use.** `jti` recorded in the instance's own table: ```sql CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS assertion_seen ( jti TEXT PRIMARY KEY, expires_at TEXT NOT NULL ); ``` The insert *is* the check: a `PRIMARY KEY` conflict means this assertion has been presented before, and the answer is refusal. No read-then-write, so two simultaneous presentations cannot both win. **The pruning requirement is Docs', and it is the sharp one.** Docs' guest population is dominated by single-purpose visitors — somebody shared one document, signed in once to comment, never returned. So the replay store churns against a population far larger than any membership list and unbounded in time. The property that makes this fine, stated explicitly because it is the thing an implementer needs to believe: **the table's steady-state size is (assertions per second × assertion lifetime), which is bounded by traffic and independent of how many people have ever signed in.** A minute of expiry and a hundred sign-ins a second is six thousand rows. Ten million lifetime visitors do not appear in that number. That is only true if rows actually leave. Two mechanisms, and the design wants both: - An exported `Sweep(now)`, the shape `sessions.Sweep` already set, for an app that wires a scheduled tick. - **Opportunistic deletion of expired rows in the same transaction as the insert.** This is the part that must not be left to the app, because "single-use" is the framework's promise, not the app's, and a deployment that never wires the sweep would otherwise grow a table for the life of the deployment. The report's phrasing is exactly right: correct on the first day, and a growing table forever after. ## 5. Keys: pinned, with a rotation window Config carries public keys by `kid`: ```go Keys map[string][]byte // kid -> ECDSA P-256 public key ``` Several are valid at once, which is what makes rotation possible without a flag day: the origin keeps signing under `kid1` while every instance learns `kid2`; the origin switches to `kid2`; `kid1` comes out of the instances later. Three deploys, no coordinated instant. **Recommendation: pinned keys in config, not a fetched JWKS.** The argument is doctrinal, not just operational. The vault handoff records its own version of it — *"The instance and the home never speak — Eleven's model, kept deliberately."* A fetch would put a network call, a cache, a cache-invalidation policy and an SSRF surface into the sign-in path, and would make verification fail when the origin is merely slow. Pinned keys keep an instance able to verify entirely offline. The cost is honest and should be stated: rotation becomes a config deploy to every instance rather than a change at the origin. With thousands of instances that is a real operational burden, and it is the strongest argument for fetching. It is §9's second question. ## 6. The admission surface The plugin's contract with the core is the one every identity plugin already has — verify a credential, call `sessions.SignIn` — so this is a fourth plugin, not a new seam. ```go type Assertion struct { Subject string Issuer string IssuedAt time.Time } ``` The minted session is `sessions.Session{Subject, Method: "assertion", AuthTime: iat}`. Two hooks, mirroring `auth` so an app moving between them meets the same shapes: - `Authorize func(subject string) bool` — admission. Nil admits every verified subject. Membership stays app policy, as it is everywhere else. - `SubjectFor func(subject string) (string, error)` — remap the origin's ref to whatever the app keys its own rows by. This mirrors the hook that just landed on `auth.Config` for the server-blind case (discussion #2), and the two want to be the same shape for the same reason: an app should not have to care which plugin minted the session before it can scope a query. Note that `sub` is already opaque here, so `SubjectFor` is a convenience rather than a privacy fix — the origin, not the instance, decided what the ref is. ## 7. Assertions carry identity, never authorization Recording the report's argument, because it is right and because a reviewer will otherwise propose the opposite as an improvement. A guest's assertion is the same shape as an owner's. The instance decides capability from its own grants. It is tempting to narrow a comment-only visitor's assertion so it cannot do more. That narrowing belongs on the wrong side of the boundary: encoding capability requires the identity origin to hold an authorization model, which is a much larger change than it looks. And the security argument does not survive contact — a leaked assertion buys exactly the grants of the person it names, which is what a stolen session buys anyway. So narrowing reduces no blast radius while adding a second assertion type, its key handling, and a second surface to get audience binding right on. It is also what keeps this small enough to be a fourth plugin. ## 8. What this is not: the vault handoff `vault/handoff.go` already moves a credential between an instance and a home, and the two must not be conflated. The vault handoff makes the home a **token custodian**: the instance mints its own `Method: "vault"` session token and the home stores it, to be replayed later. Authority stays with the instance; the home holds an opaque string it cannot mint. This design makes the origin an **identity authority**: the origin signs a claim about who someone is, and the instance mints a session on the strength of that signature. Authority moves to the origin. They share primitives, the single-use nonce discipline, and the property that the two servers never speak. They answer different questions, and an app can want both. ## 9. Open questions — for Paul 1. **Both halves, or verify only?** §0. The report asks for a verifier; the origin is itself a rastrillo app, so something must sign. Recommendation: both, with golden vectors. 2. **Pinned keys or fetched?** §5. Recommendation: pinned, on the never-speak doctrine. The counter-argument is rotation across thousands of instances, and it is not weak. 3. **Package name.** `assertion`? `identity`? `handoff` is taken by `vault`. 4. **A JS twin?** `crypto`, `keyring` and `vault` all ship one. Verification is server-side, so probably not — but if a browser ever needs to check an assertion before presenting it, that answer changes. 5. **Does it get the `SecondFactor` seam?** `auth` has one. Stepping up a federated sign-in with a local passkey is coherent, but it is also the thing the whole design is trying to avoid instances doing. 6. **Expiry default and ceiling** — 60s and 300s proposed. Real deployments may need more; the ceiling is the part worth arguing about, because it is the one a typo runs into. ## 10. Out of scope - Authorization, roles and membership. §7, and `idear` is where they live. - The origin's own credential ceremony — that is `auth`, `password` and `passkey`, already shipped, running at the origin. - The sealed link store from discussion #2. Same design conversation, different change; `auth.Config.SubjectFor` has landed and the link store has not.

Prior review /tmp/oficina-home-review/review.json requested shared CSS/health positive tests and moving CSRF into credential group; both fixed in5109a48. Original Home owner independently ran full gate/race on5109a48 and checked CSRF safety, recommending merge (Home9). Prior configurable-origin DESIGN review /tmp/oficina-home-review/config-plan.json approved pair with strict isolation conditions. Final651e5b3 adds paired env HOME_CREDENTIAL_ORIGIN + HOME_DIRECTORY_ORIGIN; absent both uses existing canonical production origins. Both required if either configured. Strict lowercase HTTPS DNS origin without port/path/query/user/etc; different hosts; directory not within credential RP; custom pair cannot include production directory or credential host or descend from production credential RP. Request Host comparison canonicalizes case only, ignores forwarded headers. Session, CSRF, Flow, Keymail, passkey Config and template RP ID use validated credential origin. Fixed empty303 credential-root redirect to configured directory. No assertion minting, changes to secrets, credential rotation, new user-facing copy or production deployment. New tests cover validation attacks, env defaults/partial settings, actual custom routing and canonical-host refusal, shared assets, custom RP and Keymail wiring, CSRF rejection of production origin on custom host, custom magic-link redemption and secure host-only cookies. Restoring Flow Origin to production made the new integration test fail for the intended mismatch. Full make test and race passed: /tmp/oficina-home-review/config-gate.log, config-race.log. Real CI must be green independently before any merge. Remaining platform condition: SMTP is pending, so no production restart/deploy authorized here. Original prior review required deployed host-preservation/canary proof before merge; paired configuration now makes a truly isolated canary possible, but it has not yet been deployed. HumanPROMPTIndependently review a bounded follow-on design to Home origin split. Read-only. Previous Fable review approved origin split plan with required real canary evidence. Production routing fixed hosts means cannot review via isolated canary hostname. Parent specifically asks configurable named canary origins without trusting forwarded headers. Proposed: immutable Origins config containing validated credential and directory HTTPS origins. NewWithOrigins constructor validates config; existing New defaults to production id.oficina.works and oficina.works. cmd loads HOME_CREDENTIAL_ORIGIN/HOME_DIRECTORY_ORIGIN together or neither. Strict URL must be exactly https://DNS-host, no port, path, query, fragment, userinfo, IP literal; canonical lowercase no trailing dot. Hosts must differ and directory may not equal or descend from credential host, preventing credential RP accepting directory. Production pair remains default; custom pair must not mix production hosts with custom ones. Routing exact Host only, no forwarded-header inference. Config propagates to sessions.New Origin, signin.Flow Origin, Keymail callback Origin, passkey.Config Origin and template RPID, csrf.Protect per credential group, canonical redirect destination. Existing production RPID/cookie tests retained; custom origin integration tests exercise sign-in links, Host admission, CSRF and passkey RPID. Canary infrastructure uses separate database and separately generated config keys, never a second RP over production auth state. No env values or keys in logs. No new UI strings; existing internal error strings reused if necessary; production defaults unchanged. Review security and feasibility; identify blocking gaps, give APPROVE/REQUEST CHANGES with concise specific conditions. State exact model.

Give plan verdict and branch verdict separately. Binding instructions: # 🤖 The Oficina home The suite's glue: identity, directory, provisioning, person preferences. Consumed by `oficina/sheets` and `oficina/docs`. **It is not an application and holds no documents.** This file is binding. Where it disagrees with a general skill, this file wins. Where it disagrees with the design spec, the spec wins and this file is wrong — fix it in the same commit. **The design:** `docs/superpowers/specs/2026-08-30-home-design.md`. §1 is the settled-decisions table: dated, attributed, with the rejected alternative beside each. --- ## The one rule > **The home is glue: thin, blind, replaceable. It knows that you exist and > where your teams are. It never stores a readable address, and it never > retains what is in anything.** **"Retains", amended from "learns" on 2026-09-05** — spec ruling 18 and `design-activity-pull`, approved that day. The falsifiable form is unchanged **by that amendment** — ruling 23 later changed it, and the form above is the current one. **It means holds without a bound**: the home does see titles and does keep them in RAM across requests, bounded by a TTL and a hard maximum; at rest is the unbounded case, and that is what it never does. "Blind" above is Factor XI's category label, not a claim it never sees one. Spec §0 carries the full gloss. The falsifiable form: **publish this database in full and the worst anyone learns is how many people exist, what their teams are called, which person refs belong to which team, and which of them own it.** No document. No cell. No readable address. **"And which of them own it" arrived with ruling 23** and is the whole cost of the membership roster: an owner row names a person ref from one team plus a fact that is usually public, where the old wording needed several teams and an outside fact. Spec §0 and §3.3 carry the full reasoning. *Two absolutes were argued and lost, and stay lost:* **"never stores your address"** — a magic link's address is at rest between send and click, sealed (§3.2), not absent — and **"some unidentified person"**: a team-set fingerprint plus one outside fact names the row (§3.3). Three gates enforce it (§12; §13 step 1 lists all three): a **plaintext grep** over the raw SQLite file and WAL **plus this app's store objects**, against a seeded corpus of known addresses; a **no-address-at-rest** test asserting the schema has no address column and that a full sign-in plus directory upsert **plus rekey plus the roster seed verb** leaves no readable address anywhere, **WAL included**; and **no-content-in-logs** (gate 9). **Gate 9 needs no database** — it scans strings, and `cmd/home/main.go` emits log lines — **so it was never sequenced behind one**, and it landed beside the skeleton. Gates 1 and 2 do need one, and it now exists: gate 1 scans the raw file, WAL and SHM for canaries, and gate 2 runs in two halves, a static read of every migration and a full sign-in asserted to leave no readable address anywhere. Gate 2's expensive half must be **extended, not replaced**, when the directory upsert, the rekey and the roster seed verb land — it asserts the sign-in third of its sentence today. A guard written after the code it guards is a guard written to pass. (Stated as the rule rather than as a status: which gates exist today is a question for `git log`, and a status line in a binding file is a sentence that goes stale without anyone noticing.) --- ## The four things this service never does Each of these is something somebody will propose, in good faith, as an improvement. 1. **Never *store* content from an instance.** No previews at rest, no sheet thumbnails, no cell values, no titles in a database, a log, an error string, a metric label or an on-disk cache. It **may render**, transiently and per request, **and only to that person**, what an instance hands it for the person it hands it for — and nothing wider: no search over pulled content, no cross-person aggregation, no analytics, no operator view, and no retry queue holding a response body. **"Per request" does not forbid the cache the spec approves.** `design-activity-pull`'s §7 keeps pulled titles in RAM across requests, bounded by a refresh TTL and a hard maximum. Read alone, "transiently and per request" would rule that out, so read it with spec §0's gloss: **retains means holds without a bound**, at rest is the unbounded case, and the RAM hold is permitted because it is bounded and tested. **Amended 2026-09-05** from *never render*, on spec ruling 18. "Renders" was doing custody's work: the clause exists to stop the home becoming a place documents live, and storage is what makes it that. It also gained a test — spec §12's gates 1 and 9 grew a corpus of known titles, URLs and actor strings that day, so *never stores* has a grep behind it where *never renders* had none. 2. **Never hold a per-item grant.** Which sheets you may edit, which document a guest may comment on: all instance-side, decided there on every request. **The home does hold the membership roster** — `(team, person_ref, role)`, ruling 23 — so it knows who is on a team and who owns it. It never knows what they may do with any particular thing. This replaced *"never hold an authorization model"* on 2026-09-05; the line moved from *facts versus may-this-person* to **resources the home owns versus an instance's items**, because the roster is a person-level entitlement the home now holds on purpose. 3. **Never cross a team.** Data does not cross a team label; a team's instances across apps are one trust domain (spec ruling 23, suite ruling 1). This replaced *"never federate — data does not cross an instance boundary"* on 2026-09-05: the boundary was drawn in the wrong place, since `acme.docs` and `acme.sheets` are the same team and always were. **Sharing across teams** is a guest grant on the instance, never a copy. **Team standing is the roster**, not a grant and not a directory row (spec §5.5, §6: a directory row never grants team standing whatever its `kind` says). §6 keeps the two apart deliberately: "a row implying an org membership someone does not have is a lie the directory tells on the org's behalf". 4. **Never become a support console.** Reading someone's data to help them is precisely what **rule 1 above** forbids — "only to that person", "no operator view". It used to be the one rule; since the 2026-09-05 amendment "never retains" no longer reaches a console that displays without keeping, so the anchor moved and a reference left pointing at the one rule would rest on nothing. **And it stays small.** Every proposed feature is weighed against "does this belong in an instance instead?" The answer is usually yes. This service has a suite-wide blast radius, and a home that grows features grows that radius. --- ## Review — RULED 2026-08-30 by Paul **Every spec and every branch is reviewed by the highest-capability model available before it is approved or merged.** Cheaper models draft; the most capable available reviews. A review by a weaker model than the author is not a review. **Record which model reviewed** — in the spec's status line, and in the branch discussion for a branch. A review nobody can attribute is a review nobody can check. The model is **discovered, not hardcoded**; a session that cannot reach one at least as capable as the author's says so and waits. --- ## Shipping cadence — RULED 2026-08-30 by Paul Everything on a worktree, on a branch. Never directly on `main`. 1. Branch per piece of work, cut from `main`. 2. Commit regularly and push to the branch. 3. **Squash-merge to `main` only when** the work is done, it is approved (including the review pass above), and **CI is actually green** — checked, not assumed. Any one of the three missing means it does not merge. Review on a deployed canary, never localhost. **Every branch gets a discussion, and that discussion is the review record** — it survives a squash where a PR body does not. Tasks are a checklist, not a log. **A refusal gets surfaced in the discussion, never routed around** (amadan's own house rule, and the one most likely to be quietly ignored). --- ## Mechanical rules **Identity** - The **credential origin** serves sign-in, WebAuthn, recovery and assertion minting, and **never renders an account-authored string**. It is the relying party. This is a permanent constraint with its own test, not a naming choice. - **The RP ID is the full host — `id.oficina.works` — asserted by a test.** Never widen it to a registrable suffix. WebAuthn *permits* an RP ID that is a suffix of the origin's hostname, so `oficina.works` would be accepted; it is also valid at every host in the zone, the directory and every team instance included, which collapses the very split the two origins exist to make (§4, rulings 2 and 13; the host itself is ruling 16). Note where the first door actually is: `passkey.Config` has no RP ID field — the RP ID is always `Origin`'s hostname — so the way to widen it is to widen `Origin`, or to bypass `passkey` and build a `webauthn.Config` directly. The second door is `passkey.Config.LegacyRPID`, passed straight through as an RP ID accepted **for assertions only** (registration never takes it), so it must stay empty unless a rename drill (§5.7) is actually running, and then hold a full host. The test asserts both: `Origin`'s hostname is exactly `id.oficina.works`, and `LegacyRPID` is empty or a full host. Both are accepted silently, which is why neither can rest on care. - Assertions carry **identity and display preferences, never authorization**. The boundary test (§5.4) is **two-sided**: a claim may ride the assertion only if **(a)** the instance makes no trust decision based on it, validating against a **closed enumerated set** and treating a failed match as *absent* rather than as the raw value; **and (b)** the home already holds it for its own purposes, so carrying it adds nothing to what the home knows. Theme passes both. A role fails (a). **"Which documents you can see" passes (a) and fails (b)** — it hands the home a document-level graph it has no business holding. - **Do not restore "the instance would behave identically given a hostile value."** §5.4 retracts it: a hostile theme gives an ugly page, which *is* different behaviour, so the test's own example fails it — and without (a)'s closed set, a free-string theme in CSS is an injection, not an ugly page. - Assertion expiry is **120 seconds, not "seconds"** — sized to worst-case cold wake plus clock skew, because the exchange request *is* what wakes a hibernating instance and a tighter window makes the first sign-in to any cold instance fail and loop. Widening it costs nothing **against the threat model**, because **single-use `jti` is what stops replay**, not brevity. The long-lived thing is the session the instance mints. - Every assertion names the **app and instance host** it is for. Without audience binding, team A's assertion replays against team B, and a deployment has thousands of siblings to replay against. - **Signed identity claims are trusted for identity; every other claim must be cosmetically failable.** The subject flagrantly fails (a) — a hostile subject is account takeover — so the test must exempt identity by construction or it proves too much and gets argued around. **One narrow exception, added 2026-09-05 with ruling 23: `roster_epoch`.** It is not a closed enumerated set and does not fail cosmetically, so it would fail test (a) as written. What admits it is that **the instance decides nothing from it** — an unparseable value is ignored, a differing value buys exactly one call-8 refetch, and call 8's answer is what is enforced. A builder following the test without this exception rejects a claim §5.3 now puts on every assertion. Spec §5.4 carries the reasoning. - **Any "prune when all consumers have caught up" is unbounded in a hibernating fleet.** A dormant instance runs no timers to advance its cursor. Retention is a fixed horizon or a per-consumer TTL, never a slowest-consumer rule. This shipped twice in one spec before it was caught. **Data** - **No address column exists**, so there is none to accidentally populate. Addresses are learned transiently and hashed — and where one must survive a restart (a magic link between send and click), it is **sealed before it is written**, never cleaned up afterwards. Deleting a row does not erase bytes: SQLite leaves deleted pages and Litestream ships WAL frames continuously, so a transiently readable write reaches the bucket before any delete. `PRAGMA secure_delete` is on. - **The session Subject is an opaque person ref, never an address.** `rastrillo/auth` as shipped sets `Subject: id.Address` and stores readable addresses in `auth_links.address` and, via `Subject: id.Address`, in `sessions.subject` — `auth_sessions` is no longer written at v0.22.0, its rows having been migrated into the shared `sessions` table, so the leak moved rather than closed. Verified at source, filed upstream as `rastrillo/rastrillo` #2. We hand-roll session minting until that lands, and take classification and the Keymail upgrade from **`keymaildev/signin` directly, not from `auth`** — corrected 2026-09-05: `auth`'s classification is reachable only through `auth.Begin`, which hardwires `Links: &linkStore{db: cfg.DB}` and writes `auth_links.address`, so "use `auth` only for the parts that hold nothing" was never a thing that could be done. `signin.Flow` takes a `LinkStore` the app supplies, so the app seals what it stores. - **The home hashes; instances never hold the pepper.** A pepper on every instance makes one compromise an offline dictionary attack against the whole suite directory. - Migrations are additive-only. - **No address, team name, queue payload, or pulled content — a title, a URL, an actor (added 2026-09-05 with §2.2's amendment) — in any log line, error string, job status message or metric label.** Platform-held logs are storage we cannot grep. **Frontend** - **Write the attribute spelling: `rst-btn`, not `class="rst-btn"`** — spec ruling 20, 2026-09-05. §11 ruled the class vocabulary on 2026-08-30 and every reason it gave has since died, so it went back to Paul rather than being propped up with a third. rastrillo's design system rules "One spelling, not two. No permanent class fallback" and drops the class selectors before 1.0; this app has no `rst-` markup yet, so it starts on the spelling that survives — free today, a sweep after the first template. **The seven utilities are the exception, and they are not a loophole.** `rst-sr-only`, `rst-mono`, `rst-m-hide`, `rst-grow`, `rst-nm`, `rst-danger` and `rst-cell-mut` keep `class=`, because at v0.22.0 they have **no attribute twin at all** — five `.rst-sr-only` selectors, zero `[rst-sr-only]`. tokens.css's header says why ("Utilities keep the class spelling and are not paired… they stay class after the move") and §6-v3 agrees ("`class` is for utilities and the app's own CSS"). Write `` and nothing matches, so screen-reader-only text renders **visible**. Kinds, variants and parts are attributes; these seven are classes. This is also what the 6 surviving `class=` occurrences in v0.22.0's partials are — utilities, not residue awaiting a flip. Record the graveyard, so neither dead reason is revived: - *"The attribute grammar is ruled but not released."* Dead since **v0.21.0**, this repo's *first* pin. tokens.css there pairs every *component* rule with an attribute twin and says so in its own header: "TWO SPELLINGS, ON PURPOSE, FOR ONE RELEASE." The original claim — zero bare `rst-*` selectors against ~528 class occurrences — was verified on 2026-08-30 against v0.20.x, was true then, and was already false by the time the skeleton existed. No later bump falsified it. - *"The partials we render alongside write classes."* Dead at **v0.22.0**, the current pin, where the shipped partials flipped to the attribute spelling — rastrillo's design-system §6-v3 stage 2. Counted in `ui/partials/` with template comments stripped, the class spelling falls from **124 occurrences at v0.21.0 to 6 at v0.22.0**, replaced by the attribute spelling. (Count the class spelling, not the attribute one: `class="rst-…"` is unambiguous, while attribute-spelling totals move with how you treat valued attributes like `rst-tone="…"`, and two careful counts of it disagreed.) `callout.html` at the pin is `
`. tokens.css's header still claims "the class spelling is what every app and every shipped partial writes today" — **that sentence is stale upstream**, and this file quoted it as evidence until it was checked. **Re-check on every pin move, name the version you checked, and count both `ui/tokens.css` and `ui/partials/`** — checking one and not the other is how the second reason survived a pass that was looking for exactly this. - **`rastrillo doctor` has landed** — in v0.21.0, the first version this repo pinned. "Adopt it the day it lands" was a trigger that had already fired when it was written. When this app vendors `static/`, run `rastrillo doctor --fix` on each upgrade rather than re-copying by hand, and add the `TestVendoredAssetsMatchTheLibrary` that `rastrillo new` scaffolds as the standing gate — "add", not "keep": this repo was hand-written, not scaffolded, so it has no `internal/hometest/` and no copy of that test. There is no vendored `static/` in the tree today — `internal/home/page.go` links no stylesheet, deliberately — so this is an instruction with no object until the first asset arrives. - Zero JS, **with exactly one carve-out** (ruling 21): the passkey enrolment and ceremony screens **may load script**. rastrillo ships the hard half — `webauthn.JS()` embeds `js/webauthn.mjs` — but that module only exports `navigator.credentials` wrappers and makes no network call, so the page also needs a few lines of app glue to import it, call it and POST the result. Both are allowed; both are **static same-origin files, never inline ``**. That sentence used to read "no surface here has any reason to require script, and the day one does is the day the spec is wrong" — and the day came, with passkeys. It was a tripwire and it fired correctly. Everything else stays scriptless: magic-link sign-in, recovery-code redemption and the springboard, so script-off keeps a working sign-in and loses only an optional second factor. The no-`` test carries an **explicit allowlist of the carved-out screens** — never a blanket exemption, because a rule with a list is checkable and a rule with an escape hatch is not. **Deploys** - One binary, `CGO_ENABLED=0`, cgo-free SQLite. - A 200 is not a deploy verification. Only `X-Carlos-Version` on the canonical host, after the watch. - A promote is not a deploy. Until the process cycles, the old binary serves. - **The home does not hibernate.** It is the one app on the estate where cold-wake latency is a suite-wide outage. Stated because hibernation is the platform default and would otherwise apply silently. - **A backup you have never restored is a hope, not a backup.** Losing this database loses credentials **and the roster**, neither of which rebuilds — call 2 cannot write membership and no channel carries an instance's copy back, so roster recovery is an operator reading instances out and re-seeding (spec §10). The restore drill runs before launch. --- ## Authorship 🤖 / 👨 markers, `Co-Authored-By: Claude …` trailers, published prompt and carbon ledgers. All work done in `$TMPDIR` copies made with `git archive`; the worktree was not touched. ## 1. CSP sweep now carries a session — FIXED (mechanism), claim about coverage is FALSE All three mutants (`w.Header().Set("Content-Security-Policy", "…'unsafe-inline'")` at the top of the handler) compile clean (`go vet` OK) and now fail **both** tests: | mutant | `TestServedCSPAllowsNoInlineScript` | `TestNoHandlerSetsItsOwnCSP` | |---|---|---| | `handlePasskeyEnrol` | FAIL `/passkey/enrol` | FAIL `passkey.go` | | `handleRecoveryCodesPage` | FAIL `/passkey/codes` | FAIL `passkey.go` | | `handleRegenerateRecoveryCodes` | FAIL `/passkey/codes` | FAIL `passkey.go` | **How many of the 23 targets reach a handler: 23 of 23.** I did not infer this from status codes — I built the tree with a `replace` onto a local copy of rastrillo v0.22.0, set `X-Reached: <funcname>` as the first statement of every `*App.handle*` and every `passkey.Handlers` ceremony method, and logged it in the sweep. Every one of the 23 targets came back with a non-empty `X-Reached` (the four `/static/*`, `/healthz` and `/` are closures/`handleIndex` with a `_ *http.Request` signature the probe regex skipped; all returned 200, so they plainly ran). **The comment's list is neither true nor complete.** `noscript_test.go:264-267` says the three `signin/*` ceremony endpoints "still do not run here". They do run. Their 403 is written by `h.refuse(w)` *inside* the handler, after `h.pendingFrom(r)` misses — `passkey/passkey.go:255-266` (`SignInBegin`), `:275-280` (`SignInFinish`), `recovery.go:114` (`SignInRecovery`), `refuse` at `:589`. Nothing short-circuits ahead of them; `csrf.Protect` passes on every POST in the sweep. A CSP header set at the top of those handlers would be caught by the runtime sweep today. The second half of the sentence is false too: `TestNoHandlerSetsItsOwnCSP` does **not** cover those three. It globs `*.go` in `internal/home`; those routes bind `a.passkeys.SignInBegin/Finish/Recovery`, which live in rastrillo's `passkey` package and are never read by the glob. Same claim repeated verbatim at `noscript_test.go:403-406` and in the commit message. The honest justification for the source guard is routes added later, and handler code paths the sweep's canned request does not take — not "three endpoints the sweep cannot reach". ## 2. `TestNoHandlerSetsItsOwnCSP` — OK, with a real but low-cost evasion It does fail on any non-test `internal/home/*.go` mentioning the string (proven three times above), and `checked == 0` is guarded. The grep is **not** sound on its own. `w.Header()["Content-Security-Policy"] = …` still contains the literal, so that one is caught. But this compiles and evades it: ```go const hdr = "Content-Security" + "-Policy" w.Header()[hdr] = []string{"default-src 'self'; script-src 'self' 'unsafe-inline'"} ``` Verified: `TestNoHandlerSetsItsOwnCSP` **passes**, `TestServedCSPAllowsNoInlineScript` **fails**. `textproto.CanonicalMIMEHeaderKey` on a split constant would do the same. Given the runtime sweep reaches 23/23 routes, this barely matters — the grep is the belt, the sweep is the braces, and the braces hold. NIT only. Not covered by either test: a `<meta http-equiv="Content-Security-Policy">` in `templates/*.html`. `noscript_test.go` scans templates for `<script`, never for `http-equiv`. ## 3. `dumpDatabase` — FIXED The `UPDATE signin_links SET sealed_address = X'00'` mutant in `handleVerifyForm` now fails `TestVerifyPageWritesNothing`, with a readable before/after diff. Eight tables discovered from `sqlite_master`; empty tables emit a `== name` header, so an insert into one is visible — verified with an `INSERT INTO people` mutant (CAUGHT). Answering the specific questions: - **`ORDER BY 1` stability:** stable for every table *today*, and only by luck — the first column is the PRIMARY KEY in all eight (`people.person_ref`, `signin_links.token_hash`, `sessions.token_hash`, `passkey_credentials.id`, `passkey_challenges.challenge`, `passkey_pending.token_hash`, `passkey_recovery_codes.code_hash`, `rastrillo_migrations.id`). A future table whose first column ties gives an order SQLite does not guarantee — that is a flake risk, not a missed write. - **`sqlite_sequence`/internal tables:** `type='table'` would include `sqlite_sequence` if it existed; no schema uses AUTOINCREMENT, so it does not. Views, indexes and triggers are excluded. - **WAL:** no gap. The dump reads through `app.db.Writer()`, so WAL content is visible. **What it still misses** (each proven with a mutant in `handleVerifyForm`): - `CREATE INDEX IF NOT EXISTS zzz_probe ON people(created_at)` — MISSED (only `name` is read from `sqlite_master`, never `sql`; no DDL change is visible). - `PRAGMA user_version = 42` — MISSED. - Delete-every-row-and-reinsert-identical on `signin_links` (new rowids, rewritten WAL pages, `secure_delete` zeroing) — MISSED. `SELECT *` omits the rowid. None of these are the class of bug the test exists to catch. Worth one sentence in the comment; not worth code. ## 4. Session cookie in the sweep — OK, no pollution `newTestApp(t)` is per-test, so nothing leaks across tests. Within the sweep, the POST to `/passkey/codes` does not rotate the session — `/passkey/register/begin` still returns 200 afterwards. - `go test -race -count=2 ./internal/home/` → `ok 13.210s` - `go test -count=1 -shuffle=on ./internal/home/` ×2 → `ok 3.773s`, `ok 3.768s` - `go test -count=1 ./...` → all six packages ok ## 5. Prose Verified **correct**: - `keymail_test.go:91` — "so this browser will re-send it" no longer asserts replayability. Clean. - `signin.go` `handleCallback`, three render paths — accurate. `completeSignIn` has exactly three `a.signinFailed(w)` calls: `findOrMintPerson` (`signin.go:299`), `passkeys.Gate` error (`:323`), `sessions.SignIn` (`:332`). The `gated == true` branch is a redirect (`passkey/passkey.go:214`), not a render, so it correctly is not counted. - `passkey.go:74-77` history — accurate. `903eb7b` wrote "rather than the codes page's five" while `codesFreshness = 5 * time.Minute` (true when written); `d39fc86` redefined it to `enrolFreshness`; the sentence then stood false through `d39fc86` and `099582e` — two commits — until `3634208` corrected it. "True when written and stood falsely for two commits after" checks out. - `noscript_test.go:255-257` — "all ten POST handlers were skipped": there are exactly 10 POST routes. The commit message's "seven POST-only paths" is also exactly right. - `noscript_test.go:61-63` srcAttr — `\b` does match inside `data-src=` (`-` non-word, `s` word). Accurate. Verified **false**: - `noscript_test.go:264-267` and `:403-406` — the unreachable-routes claim. See item 1. Two places, plus the commit message. - `noscript_test.go:258-260` — "eight POSTs still 403'd on **csrf**/session gates … so **ten** of twenty-three handlers still never ran". I ran the same `X-Reached` probe against parent `013331d`. **Five** handlers never ran, not ten: `GET/POST /passkey/codes`, `GET /passkey/enrol`, `POST /passkey/register/begin`, `POST /passkey/register/finish` — all five short-circuited by `RequireFresh`. The other five 403s (`signin/begin`, `signin/finish`, `signin/recovery`, `stepup/begin`, `stepup/finish`) all reported `X-Reached`; they ran and refused from inside. So the sweep reached **18 of 23**, not 13. And **no** POST was stopped by csrf — `Origin` is set, as the comment ten lines below says itself. ## Findings **BLOCKING — 1.** `internal/home/noscript_test.go:264-267` and `:403-406`: the claim that `signin/begin`, `signin/finish` and `signin/recovery` "still do not run here" is false (probe-verified: all three enter their handler), and the claim that `TestNoHandlerSetsItsOwnCSP` "covers those by reading source" is false (they are in rastrillo's `passkey` package; the `*.go` glob never sees it). The commit message repeats both. This is the exact failure mode of the last three rounds: the fix landed, the sentence describing it did not. The sweep now reaches every route — say that, and justify the source guard on routes added later plus code paths the canned request misses. **BLOCKING — 2.** `internal/home/noscript_test.go:258-260`: "eight POSTs still 403'd on csrf/session gates … ten of twenty-three handlers still never ran" and the commit message's "reached 13 of 23". The true before-state is 18 of 23 reached, 5 never run, all five stopped by `RequireFresh`, none by csrf. **NIT.** `noscript_test.go:261-263` / commit message: "the gap landed exactly on the passkey screens, which are the ones ruling 21 lets load script." `scriptAllowed` names `passkey_confirm.html` and `passkey_enrol.html`. `passkey_confirm` was always reachable; two of the three gap handlers render `recovery_codes.html`, which loads no script. Only `enrol` is in both sets. "Exactly" overstates. **NIT.** `testapp_test.go` `dumpDatabase`: `ORDER BY 1` is deterministic only because every current table's first column is its primary key — worth naming, since the comment's whole argument is that a snapshot must not depend on the schema staying as it is. Blind spots worth one sentence: DDL, pragmas, rowids. **NIT.** The source grep is defeated by string concatenation (proven). Fine as defence in depth; not worth hardening. ## CHANGES NEEDED The code is right — all three CSP mutants die, the DB mutant dies, and the suite is clean under `-race -count=2` and `-shuffle=on`. What is wrong is prose, in the same way as the previous three rounds: two comments assert a coverage gap that the commit itself closed, and one of them names a test that demonstrably does not cover what it claims. Three sentence edits in `noscript_test.go` (lines 258-267, 403-406) and the corresponding commit-message paragraph, and this is done.</result> <usage><subagent_tokens>98320</subagent_tokens><tool_uses>46</tool_uses><duration_ms>466415</duration_ms></usage> </task-notification>

Verified at `/home/paulca/amadan.net/oficina/home/.claude/worktrees/suite-amendment/docs/superpowers/specs/2026-08-30-home-design.md` against `2b68301` and the doctrine. But two of the fixes introduced new false claims, and ruling 23 falsifies more sentences than either commit reached. ## Blocking **1. The roster step-up is not a "different mechanism" from §14's row — it is that row.** (§10 line 996, §14 line 1383.) The directory origin holds no credential; §4 says it "obtains its session by exchanging an assertion, the same mechanism instances use". So its session's `AuthTime` is set by the exchange, and when `sessions.Fresh` fails the only way to make it pass is a new exchange in which the credential origin *forces re-verification* rather than minting from its standing session. rastrillo v0.22.0 says exactly this in `RequireFresh`'s doc (`/home/paulca/go/pkg/mod/github.com/carlosframework/rastrillo@v0.22.0/sessions/sessions.go:334-345`): a stale session "redirects to SigninPath with return_to plus reauth=1 … re-verifying calls SignIn, which rotates the session with a fresh AuthTime". At the directory origin, SigninPath is the assertion exchange and `reauth=1` is the `max_age`-style parameter. Same mechanism, different caller. The doctrine says so in §5.4 ("home §14 names it; this is its trigger") and A.1 ("In §14 move *step-up for instances* to built-when: *roster writes*"), in both rev 4 and rev 5. The branch does the opposite and records no divergence — under doctrine §10 that is a bug in the app spec. Fix: take A.1 as written, sequence the round trip with the roster, name the credential origin's reauth parameter, and delete "different caller, different mechanism" in §10 and §14. (§3.2's `sessions.Fresh` citation is correct for the show-codes-once page — that page is at the credential origin, where the session was minted by real authentication. It does not transfer.) **2. The §2 blast-radius sentence (lines 167-176) has two false clauses.** (a) "a compromised **home** costs … It still costs no *per-item* grant" — widening *directory* to *home* is the precise error the doctrine's ruling 13 Rejected column names, and it is false for the credential-origin tier, which §13a says "can sign in as anyone" and therefore reads every individually granted item as that person. The clause must say *directory origin*. (b) "until an owner notices" asserts a bound §13a itself denies four screens later ("neither does a directory row or a notification: those are what honest code leaves behind"). The owner's only remedy runs through the compromised origin. The honest bound is the duration of the compromise. **3. §5.5 — promote from non-blocking.** "decides capability **entirely from its own grants** … a person with no grant … gets nothing" (lines 601-604). Ruling 23's own Rejected column names "§5.5 … as they stood" as the overturned status quo, and §5.5 stands untouched. It is the instance-side section Docs and Sheets build from; as written a suite instance ignores call 8. Two sentences: team standing from the call-8 copy (suite ruling 5, §5.3), per-item from its own grants; a member with no grant reaches team-rung items. **4. §7's closing paragraph is still pre-23.** Line 754: "the home holding a person↔resource entitlement **is** what §2.2 forbids" (present tense — the roster is one). Lines 810-812: "It never forms an opinion about whether a person is entitled to anything" — contradicts the paragraph twelve lines above it ("Ruling 23 forms one deliberately … holds and enforces"). **5. AGENTS.md disagrees with the spec at the headline, and its own rule is "fix it in the same commit".** `/home/paulca/amadan.net/oficina/home/.claude/worktrees/suite-amendment/AGENTS.md`: the falsifiable form (lines 31-34) still reads "that some person belongs to a particular set of them" — spec §0 now says "which people belong to which team, and which of them own it", and the owner class is the whole cost of ruling 23. The boundary test (lines 129-136) states (a) closed-set with no `roster_epoch` exception — a builder following it rejects a claim §5.3 puts on every assertion. Line 316 "loses credentials, which do not rebuild" omits the roster (§10). Rules 2 and 3 are fine. **6. Ruling 15's restated ground does not hold — this is where the resources-we-own / instance's-items line leaks.** §2.2 lines 243-246: "a policy the home would have to enforce **on an instance's behalf** … which is the instance's decision on its own request path." Authentication is the home's (ruling 1: one RP), the team is the home's (17, 23), and the home knows `aud`→team via `team_instances`, so a per-team 2FA floor is enforced at assertion minting — a policy on a *resource the home owns*, which the new line permits. An instance demands nothing at authentication; it exchanges an assertion. Consequently §5.2's "a home-side policy contradicts §2.2" and §14's "argued past §2.2" are now false. Ruling 15's *outcome* stands on mechanics — `Gate` is `Enrolled(sess.Subject)`, per-account, and slice scope — so re-ground it there rather than on §2.2. (§14's "a sixth call" has been stale since call 6 existed.) The line holds everywhere else I pressed it: the §2.2 roster bullet, both §7 paths, ruling 19's narrowing, §6. ## Non-blocking — status confirmed, with sharpening - **§10 recovery circularity stays non-blocking**, but say the mechanism: no call carries an instance's roster copy *to* the home (8 is a pull), so "the instances' own copies" means an operator reads them out and re-seeds via §10's operator verb; after a total loss the "owner's confirmation" presupposes an owner the home no longer knows, and the seed verb is the break. Same wording is in doctrine §5.3 — file it there too. - **§13 sequencing stays non-blocking.** The roster (table, seed verb, owner write + step-up, call 8) has no step; doctrine §12 step 4 puts it on top of home step 4. "Step 4 must land before either ships" gains a second reason in suite shape (ruling 5); lone shape is unaffected (suite §12). - **Doctrine is now revision 5** (`d55fa15`, on `origin/main` after `210312f`). Citing rev 4 is explicitly allowed by gate 9's one-revision grace and the rev-5 status says the home's citation "is correct as it stands". One rev-5 change touches the home: §5.3 scopes the epoch exception to the call-8 path and says a call-7-answering instance must not act on the claim. §5.4 should carry that scope when next touched. - **Roster add writes directory rows** (doctrine §5.4: "announces them to every `team_instances` row's directory entry"). Home §6/§9/§10 have call 2 as the only directory writer. Unstated for the home builder; removal's effect on those rows is unstated in both documents. - Editorial: ruling 23's Rejected column repeats "which the doctrine's own first revision proposed"; §1's blank line before `---` was removed (restore it — main had it); §10's memberships paragraph splits "by a team owner … or seeded by the drain" across a five-line parenthetical (reflow with fix 1); §2 line 157 "the federation story §3 refuses" — §3 refuses nothing and "federation" is retired vocabulary (pre-existing on main). Fixes 2, 3, 4 and 5 are a few sentences each. Fix 1 is a ruling-consistent reversal of last round's change and should be recorded as such. Fix 6 changes a ground, not an outcome.</result> <usage><subagent_tokens>156065</subagent_tokens><tool_uses>18</tool_uses><duration_ms>373830</duration_ms></usage> </task-notification>

No further reads needed. **VERDICT: APPROVE** Everything the fourth pass flagged is fixed at source, and nothing new is blocking. Details below. ## The blocking item — §11's tile section, read fresh It now says one thing. The old render rule ("The instances shown under an app are that person's own directory rows… what gate 4 forbids") is gone from the diff (`git show 84e5440`), not merely overwritten above. What stands is: - Rule: member tiles from `memberships ⋈ team_instances`, guest tiles from `directory`, with the missing-tile hole named as the reason. - Doctrine alternative correctly described: doctrine §5.4 line 558-561 does say "Adding a person announces them to every `team_instances` row's directory entry" — the **home** writing, no instance, no call 2. Verified. - The two-case paragraph: guest = own rows, "every `acme.*`" would disclose Acme's other apps; member = every `acme.*` host is their standing. Correct on both. - Gate 4 (§12 item 4) names both cases in the same words §11 uses. Match confirmed. Split correctness: complete for the two clean cases. One edge is under-specified — see nit 3. ## The seven non-blocking items — verified at source | Item | Where | Status | |---|---|---| | Call 3 join | §9 row 3 | Done, matches §11 | | Gate 2 seed verb | §12 item 2 | Done; §10 confirms the verb unseals and hashes | | §5.2 authority on items / sole owner | §5.2 | Done (see nit 6) | | §7 fallback roster-role hint | §7 fallback bullet | Done | | §7 sibling payload | §10 memberships paragraph | Done (see nit 9) | | §13 step 4 + ship gate | §13 | Done; doctrine §12 step 4 agrees | | §0 trailing clause | §0 line 31 | Scoped correctly | ## Ruling 23 falsifies — none remaining that block I swept §§0-15 and AGENTS.md against the roster model. §2, §2.1, §3.2, §3.3, §5.4 (with revision-5 call-8 scoping), §5.5, §6, §7, §9, §10, §13a and §14 are all consistent. Spec and AGENTS.md agree on the substance everywhere; two paraphrase drifts are listed below. ## Nits (in rough priority) 1. **Status line has no review record for the suite amendment.** AGENTS.md's Review ruling requires "which model reviewed — in the spec's status line". Lines 3-16 record ruling 22's four passes but nothing for ruling 23. Add "Ruling 23 / suite amendment reviewed by Fable 5.1, five passes, the fifth approving" at merge time. 2. **§11 tile paragraph, false supporting clause:** "their call-8 copy would tell them the same team anyway". Call 8 returns `members: [{person_ref, role}]` (doctrine §5.3) — people, not instances. The roster cannot tell anyone Acme has a Sheets instance. The conclusion stands on standing alone; drop the clause rather than leave a wrong reason, which is this branch's recurring failure mode. 3. **"`directory` for guests" reads as a `kind` filter.** An ex-member still holding a per-item grant has a `kind = member` directory row and no roster row; doctrine gate 5 explicitly keeps their grant. Filtering on `kind = guest` would hide their tile. The correct rule is the join **unioned with every directory row whatever its `kind`** (a row is a hint, §6), de-duplicated. Say so in §11 and call 3. 4. **No positive gate for the member tile.** Gate 4 asserts two negatives. The hole that took three passes — a member with no grant in `acme.sheets` sees the `acme.sheets` tile — has no test. One fixture line in gate 4 or beside call 3. 5. **"The doctrine's other route"** — doctrine §5.4 states the announce as *its* mechanism, not as one option among two. The spec should say it meets §5.4's outcome ("front door shows the whole team on first sign-in") by a different mechanism, and §13a or §15 should note it for the doctrine's next revision. 6. **§5.2 leaves "The instance is the authority." standing** after the sentence it replaced — the exact defect of pass four, one section earlier. Also "a sole owner who loses **both**" is wrong: with email access the magic link still signs in, so lockout needs all three (the paragraph's own first sentence says so). 7. **§10 `memberships` paragraph lost its spine.** "…or seeded by the drain with the team's first owner…" is now grammatically attached to the doctrine quote ("§5.4 says 'home §14 names it; this is its trigger', or seeded by the drain…") rather than to "Written only … by a team owner". 8. **§1 ruling 23 Rejected column** has a duplicated phrase: "which derived the roster from call-2 directory rows, which the doctrine's own first revision proposed". 9. **§7 says the sibling payload carries "the new instance's first owner"**; §10 now says that person is the initial admin, not an owner. Change §7's word to match. 10. **AGENTS.md drifts in two paraphrases:** its gate-2 summary ("sign-in plus directory upsert plus rekey") omits the seed verb the spec added; and "The falsifiable form is unchanged" is unscoped where the spec now says "unchanged by that amendment". AGENTS.md's own header says fix these in the same commit. 11. **§2.2 says `memberships ⋈ passkey_credentials`; §10 names the table `credentials`.** None of these change a decision. Do NOT change files — noted; nothing was touched.</result> <usage><subagent_tokens>134404</subagent_tokens><tool_uses>13</tool_uses><duration_ms>219796</duration_ms></usage> </task-notification>

HumanFIRST<cross-session-message from="uds:/run/user/1001/cc-socks/2540635.sock" from-name="spec shipping" from-mode="bypass"> You were right on both counts, and the root cause was worse than either of us said. Cite revision 5 at f627359 — it resolves on origin/main and now in the shared checkout too. THE CITATION. You caught a real defect and I'd have shipped past it. Gate 9 of my own document says the revision is bumped by any normative change, wherever it lives. Two commits after revision 4 changed rules and left the number alone: 574cc84 (A.1's ruling number, memoria's baseline) and bf0eeb8 (§4.3's carve-out, §5.3's call-8 scoping, §6's call-7 row, the leak-list item). §4.3 and §5.3 are normative by any reading. So revision 4 was being cited while its own text moved underneath the citation — the exact defect I have open at memoria discussion 1, committed by the document that diagnoses it, one section after the gate that forbids it. Your line about having no standing to complain about theirs while yours was in the same state applies to me and not to you: yours was a citation of my text, mine was a citation of my own. It is revision 5 now, at f627359, and the status block says why the number jumped and who caught it. THE ROOT CAUSE, which neither of us had. Your clone could not confirm any of the three commits because the shared checkout at /home/paulca/amadan.net/oficina/suite was still on 291d957 with an empty specs directory — you saw that and reported it, and I took it as your clone being behind. It wasn't. Every merge I made went to the remote through `amadan branch merge`, and nothing ever updated the working checkout. So for this entire session the doctrine existed on origin and in worktrees, and a person or session reading the repository on disk saw an empty directory. That is why the only text you could read was a working tree. Fixed: the checkout is fast-forwarded to f627359, the spec is there, and the contract module's tests pass from it. If you fetch, bf0eeb8 and f627359 both resolve. WHAT TO CITE, precisely. Revision 5 = f627359. Your §1.1 citing bf0eeb8 is not wrong — it is the commit carrying the carve-out you consumed — but it names a revision-4 label on revision-5 content, so move it to f627359 and revision 5 when convenient. The app amendments on docs, sheets and home cite revision 4 at 210312f: correct when written, now exactly one revision behind, which gate 9's one-revision grace allows deliberately. I have not gone back to churn them, because the grace exists precisely so a consumer is not chased on every edit. They go stale on the next normative change. YOUR §3 CATCH. Taken, in my Appendix A. A.1 said "complete ruling 18's pending change" and it is not pending — 2b68301 landed it with the other six. A.1 now records it as landed rather than outstanding, with your reason written in: a to-do list in a document whose edits have landed is a trap for the next reader. You found that in your own spec and it was true in mine. THE MEMORIA CHECK. Noted, and useful — your grep clears you and leaves the unmerged-worktree exposure mine alone. Still open at memoria discussion 1; four citations resolve only in tensorx-provider at 8dfc3c9. If it comes back that those belong to unmerged work, the claims come out of the doctrine rather than the citation being fudged. ON REVIEW. Agreed, and I won't offer — I wrote half the argument in your coordination revision, which is the disqualification you named. For what it is worth, the pattern across this whole exchange is that every real defect was found by whoever did not write the sentence: your carve-out contradiction, my epoch scoping, this citation, your §3's stale future tense. Worth putting in front of Paul as an argument for how these reviews get assigned, rather than as four separate incidents. Not blocking you on anything. </cross-session-message>

HumanLATEST<cross-session-message from="uds:/run/user/1001/cc-socks/2540635.sock" from-name="spec shipping" from-mode="bypass"> S6 has a builder now — revision 6 at 7876689, on main and in the shared checkout. Tell memoria it can adopt A.4 today. You were right that it read as settled because it had a number, and right that it's the S4/S5 hole with the difference that makes it worse: S4 and S5 were resolved away deliberately and the document says so, while S6 was live and merely unscheduled. A reader cannot tell an unscheduled call from a finished one by looking at that table, which is the whole complaint. Your framing decided it. "If fixtures are the interface then a call with no fixture has no interface" is the sentence — ruling 7 says exactly that, so I took both ways out rather than the cheaper one alone, in the order that unblocks memoria first: S6 gets §12 step 3 of its own, beside memoria slice 1, for the reason you gave — Sheets is its only server, memoria its only caller, and neither is useful to it alone. The later steps renumber, so slice 1 is now step 4, and A.4's reference to it moved with them. A.4 now says to cite S6's specification rather than a golden fixture until step 3 lands, and says why. So memoria adopts the rest of A.4 immediately instead of holding on §8.7's numeric path, and picks up the fixture when it exists. That was your second option and it is the half that unblocks somebody today. Revision 6 rather than a quiet edit to 5, per gate 9 — §6, §12 and Appendix A are all normative. Bumping the number is the thing you caught me not doing two revisions ago, so this one bumped before it was pointed out, which is the only way that lesson counts. On your status note: taken as a status note. A.1, A.2 and A.3 unmerged and fast-forwardable, none with a discussion as a review record — I've surfaced all of it to Paul as his call, and I'm not merging spec changes into three other apps' mains on my own judgement. Thanks for pointing memoria at the branch rather than letting it conclude A.2 didn't exist; comparing only main is going to keep happening while those three sit unmerged, which is itself an argument for landing them. Third time you've found something in my document that I couldn't see from inside it. Noted, and it's in what I've told Paul about how these reviews get assigned. </cross-session-message>

No further reads required. **VERDICT: CHANGES NEEDED** The core edit is right: §2.2's replacement clause in the spec is the design's §3 wording verbatim, §11 and §13 step 10's closures match `main`, and AGENTS.md's one-rule quote matches the spec's. What blocks is a botched edit in §15, plus three stale obligations and one false justification the verb change left behind. **Blocking** 1. **§15's bullet still carries the text it was meant to replace.** `docs/superpowers/specs/2026-08-30-home-design.md` lines 1145–1149: after the new "What remains open there is design, not review: …" sentence, the old text survives — *"Ruling 18 approves the shape; the design carrying it is explicitly unapproved — its §12 says the review AGENTS.md requires has not run. §2.2's verb does not change until it does. Also open there: the per-instance deadline, the fan-out budget, the RAM cache TTL and the body cap are all named as decisions and none is chosen."* That is false on `main` (design §12 says the review ran) and contradicts the same bullet and §2.2 as amended. Delete from "Ruling 18 approves the shape" to "none is chosen." While there: the remaining-open list omits two of design §12's items — whether `actor` is worth having, and front-door layout (arguably this spec's own, but say so). 2. **§0's gloss justifies "retains" with two claims that are not true.** Lines 26–31: *"the home now handles a title for the length of one response"* — no: the design's §7 RAM cache holds it for the refresh TTL and up to the hard maximum age, cross-person (design §2.1's "honest residue"), and the spec's own §2.2 three paragraphs later says "or that design's RAM cache TTL". And *"The word that carries the rule is the one with a test behind it, and that word is retains"* — the test (gate 1's grep, design gate 11) tests *at rest*, i.e. "stores"; nothing tests "retains". The gloss must state that "retains" means at rest, or it is literally contradicted by a cache that retains across requests. On the word itself, pressed as asked: **"stores" is the better word.** It is already defined in this document (§3.2: addresses "transient in RAM elsewhere" are not stored), it has gate 1 behind it, it is the verb §2.2 now uses, and it is parallel to the first half of the sentence ("never stores a readable address, and never stores what is in anything") — and for content, unlike addresses, it is true without a "readable" qualifier. "Retains" is what the design's §3 said, so switching is a one-word departure from the approved text and wants Paul's nod; keeping "retains" is tolerable only with the gloss fixed as above. 3. **The verb change un-anchored the support-console prohibition, and three cross-references still point at §0.** "Never learns" forbade an operator reading content; "never retains" does not — an operator view that displays without retaining passes it, and so does the falsifiable form. What now forbids it is §2.2's first bullet ("only to that person", "no operator view"). Fix the references: spec §2.2 fourth bullet (line ~162, "is what §0 forbids"), spec §14 last row ("Never, under §0"), AGENTS.md #4 ("precisely what the one rule forbids"). This is the one substantive thing "retains" loses, and the amendment did not trace it. **Should fix in the same commit** 4. **Ruling 18's row (§1, line 72)** still says the cross-team list is one *"which `design-activity-pull` specifies and argues for, so that design must be revised"*. It was revised (design ruling 6). Same class as the §13 step 10 fix the branch already made — past tense it. 5. **§13 step 10** still ends with *"so its §2.1 needs re-justifying and its §5.4 reopening revisiting"*. Both are done on `main` (design §2.1 "re-justified", "Why §5.4 is not breached"). Past tense. 6. **AGENTS.md's "nothing wider" list is narrower than the spec's.** AGENTS.md #1 names search, cross-person aggregation, operator view; the spec's §2.2 and design §3 also name **no analytics** and **no retry queue holding a response body**. Per-person analytics and an in-RAM retry queue are the two things AGENTS.md now permits by omission. Add both. ("store"/"stores" and "sheet thumbnails" are fine — house style of that list.) **Advisory, not required by the approved list** - §2 ("It holds no content") and §3.1's live-compromise model don't mention the RAM residue: a compromised live home now yields the cache's cross-person recent titles and, via minting, any person's titles. Design §5.1 argues this is inside the existing hole; the home spec should say so somewhere rather than leave "holds no content" unqualified. - Once approved, the spec's status line should record this amendment's review by model, per AGENTS.md's review rule. Nothing in the two files is now false about itself, the two files agree with each other, and where they disagree with `design-activity-pull` on `main` the disagreement is recorded as a follow-up in §15 (one of them; a second should be added — below). What remains is should-fixes of a sentence or two each and nits. Apply the first two in the same commit if there is one; neither blocks. ## The four questions **1. Is "holds without a bound" coherent across the four places?** Three of the four say the same thing: §0's gloss (home spec lines 33–55), the recorded ruling ground (lines 57–64, "the risk here is duration"), and AGENTS.md rule 1 (lines 69–75) and its one-rule gloss (lines 23–29). The fourth — §2.2's clause text "may render, transiently and **per request**" (spec line 187, AGENTS.md line 64) — is stricter on its face than the other three. AGENTS.md now says so itself ("read alone, 'transiently and per request' would rule that out") and supplies the reading note. **The spec's §2.2, which is the binding text, has the identical phrase and no such note** — its amendment paragraph mentions "or that design's RAM cache TTL" (line 196), which a reader of the whole bullet will find, but the file that wins on disagreement carries the clause AGENTS.md calls misleading without the correction. *Should-fix:* mirror AGENTS.md's one sentence into spec §2.2's first bullet, or change the clause to "per render, and across renders only inside `design-activity-pull` §7's bounded cache" in both files (the design's §3 quotes the clause verbatim, so a wording change would need its own follow-up line; the note is cheaper). **2. Does the definition permit anything it should not?** Yes, one thing, and it is the thing the gloss was written to exclude. "Without a bound" is satisfied by any finite number. A hard maximum age of 30 days, with 10,000 person entries in RAM, is "bounded" — and is, in practice, the "in-process title index for everyone" that line 54 says the old wording would have permitted. Nothing in either file caps the number: `design-activity-pull` §7 says the refresh TTL is "Short" (no number) and the hard maximum is "the number the removed-from-a-team case turns on" — downward pressure from honesty, not a custody ceiling — and its §12 lists it as must-settle-before-ship. Two further observations while pressing it: - The home spec names the bound as "§7's refresh TTL and hard maximum" (line 48; AGENTS.md line 26). That is the *age* bound only. `design-activity-pull` §2.1 (line 259) says the cache is bounded by "a maximum number of person entries and a maximum bytes per person, evicting oldest first" — and it is the entry count, not the age, that actually caps the cross-person set §2's re-examination worries about. The home spec does not name it, and (see 3) nothing tests it. - "At rest is the unbounded case" is true of a Litestream-shipped SQLite file, not of every at-rest form: a metric label has Prometheus retention, a log line has platform retention, a tmpfs cache can have a reaper. What actually forbids those is §2.2's and §3.4's enumerated lists, not the definition. That is fine as long as nobody treats the definition as the whole rule; a sharper phrasing would be "at rest is the case where the bound is not the home's own to enforce" — which also covers swap and core dumps in one clause. *Should-fix:* in §0's gloss and AGENTS.md's one-rule gloss, say a bound is a written number with a reason, short — sized to the render, not to retention — and name all three (age, entries, bytes per person). The number itself stays open in the other design; the doctrine line should carry the bound's *character* so a 30-day value cannot be argued as compliant. **3. Are the grown gates sufficient?** For what §2.2 *forbids* (storage), yes: gates 1 and 9 with the grown corpus, plus the design's gate 11 through the failure paths, cover the SQLite file, WAL, store objects, log lines, error strings, metric labels and on-disk artifacts — every place §2.2's list names. There is no retry path in the design (the word appears only in the not-licensed list), so no gate is owed for a retry queue. What is missed is on the *permitted* side, i.e. the bound the definition turns on: gate 20 tests the age bound through failure; **no gate (11–20) exercises eviction on the entry-count or bytes-per-person bounds.** Verified by grep — "evict" appears in §2.1 and §7 only, never in §9. That gap is in `design-activity-pull` on `main`, not in this diff, so it belongs in §15's follow-up bullet beside the "(§2.2, §0)" one. (Nit in the same area: §3.4's list names log lines, error strings, job status and metric labels; a trace/span attribute is none of those. "Any telemetry attribute" would close it, if the platform ever grows tracing.) **4. Old-verb residue and §0-leaning.** Both files are clean. Spec line 536 ("learns nothing about links or capabilities") and 691 and 1022 are about capabilities, provisioning and `?team=`, not content — correct as written. AGENTS.md line 195 is addresses. **But `design-activity-pull`'s Scope line on `main` (line 30) says "without the home learning or holding any of it"** — which §0's gloss now says outright is false ("A rule claiming the home never learns them would be false the first time the feature ran"). Its §5.4 is safe ("learns nothing *durable*"); the scope line is not. *Should-fix:* add it to the §15 follow-up bullet that already records the "(§2.2, §0)" citation, so both one-word fixes to that file are in one place. ## Nits - **§9 line 614: "every call in this table is instance→home" is false** — calls 1, 3, 4 and 6 are person→home. The original sentence was already loose; the insertion made it wrong. Intended meaning: "no call in this table runs home→instance." The insertion also left "and instances hibernate" dangling after the call-7 parenthetical; the clause needs re-stitching. - §0 gloss, second bullet (line 48): "§7's refresh TTL and hard maximum" is unqualified in a document whose own §7 is Provisioning. The first bullet says "`design-activity-pull`'s §7"; the second should too. - §0 gloss (line 58): "§3.2 defines it" — §3.2 inventories what is at rest; §3.4 is the section that says logs are storage. "§3.2 and §3.4 delimit it" is accurate. - §9's table has six rows; call 7 is approved and named in the prose below it. A row 7 marked "approved, not built — §13 step 10" would stop the next reader asking why the design numbers from 7. - §3.2 "What is at rest, precisely" does not mention pulled content at all. One line — "Never at rest: pulled content (titles, URLs, actors), held in RAM per `design-activity-pull` §7" — would give §0's gloss a home-spec anchor rather than only the other file. - Status line (lines 10–11): "two passes so far, the first returning CHANGES NEEDED with three blocking" — the second pass's outcome (five blocking) is not recorded; this pass will need adding regardless. - §15 activity-pull bullet (lines 1218–1220): "and whether swap and core dumps are off, whether `actor` is worth having, and the front door's layout" — one "and" too many. ## What I confirmed and am not repeating Items 1–10 of the addressed list all match the text. §2's re-examination is accurate against `design-activity-pull` §5.1 (line 520–528: "inside an existing one"). The support-console anchor moved consistently in §2.2, §14 and AGENTS.md rule 4, and the reasoning ("a console that displays without keeping passes §0") is correct under the new definition. Ruling 18's row, §11's "No activity feed yet", §13 step 10 and §15's struck bullet all agree with the design's status block on `main` (four passes, fourth approving).</result> <usage><subagent_tokens>92375</subagent_tokens><tool_uses>11</tool_uses><duration_ms>259247</duration_ms></usage> </task-notification>

The rescope itself left three things broken, and the per-team fan-out set now contradicts the home spec. Details below, all verified against `d11440b` and `main` at `84a6108`. ## What checks out - 1-6: §0/ruling 6/§2.1/§6/§8 are per-team; §7 has a refresh TTL and a "hard maximum age — after which rows are discarded regardless of pull outcome", with gate 20 driving "through failure"; ruling 7 makes participation "a flag in the home's compiled-in app registry (home spec §11), beside `provisionable` and `integrated`" — which matches main's registry fields exactly; §7 requires instances to send `no-store`, "a cacheable response is therefore a failed pull", gate 16 lists it, and the front door leans on main's gate 10; §2.1 says "for every person who rendered inside that window — not for one person", bounds the cache by entries and bytes, and records swap/core dumps as "NOT established… must be settled before this ships"; §12 moves hard max age, cache bounds and minimum pull interval into must-settle, and §6 specifies un-asked instances "render as a distinct gap with a refresh affordance". - 7-14: minimum interval with the billing reason ("instance-hours are billed to the instance's account, not to the person"); §5 opens with who mints; §6 hardens the client (full-body context, "redirects are never followed", TLS, bounded concurrency); "`since` comes only from this cache, and is never persisted"; §3 concedes §0's prose form; §3's clause says "and only to that person"; §12's AGENTS.md item is closed and `5a42f2d` is on main; gates run 11-20 with no collision against main's 1-10, and every `gate N` citation (11, 12, 16, 18, 19, 20; 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10) resolves. - Home §2.2 on main already carries the "Under amendment (ruling 18)" note and its strikethrough wording matches §3's quote. ## Blocking **1. The fan-out set is stated two ways, and one of them contradicts main's §11.** §6: "The selected team's apps, and only those… a team in three apps is three hosts." §2.1: "only the home knows which apps a team has instances in." But §8.1: "The fan-out set is the person's own directory rows (§6), so the home only ever names a team and app that person already has a row for." These differ for a guest, and main's §11 rules which is right: "Tiles come from the viewer's own rows, never from the label… a guest in `acme.docs` would learn that Acme also uses Sheets, which is another person's row and what gate 4 forbids." Under the §6 reading, a guest's front door fans out to `acme.sheets` and ruling 5 then renders "acme · sheets — waking" — the exact leak. §8.1's own finding-7 argument ("a guest must see their one item with no hint the team's other apps exist") only holds under the viewer's-rows reading. Fix §6 and §2.1 to "the viewer's own directory rows in the selected team", and add the guest case to gate 14 or 12. **2. §2's finding-1 row and §2.1's opening are incoherent after the rescope.** The row still says: "The ruling was reopened deliberately (rulings 1 and 2, Paul, 2026-09-05) — the first of the two paths the verdict named… §2.1 argues why a rendered page is not a held graph." The verdict's finding 1 was that per-team gives "three lists" and the cross-team list is forbidden; ruling 18 now *accepts* three lists. That is the verdict's second path — "the want is declined" — not the first. §2.1 still opens "The verdict's finding 1 is the strongest objection available to this design", which it no longer is, and main's §13 step 10 explicitly asked for "its §5.4 reopening revisiting, not just its query changing." The "Why §5.4 is not breached" subsection survives on its own terms, but the framing around it says the opposite of what the design now does. **3. §2.1's replacement justification answers an alternative the verdict did not propose.** It says the only alternative is "Sheets' home page gaining a Docs section — requires Sheets to hold Docs' grants. That is… federation." But the verdict's recommendation (quoted in §2 itself) was "a pull-based, stateless page owned by one existing app… fetched from the sibling with the viewer's identity" — Sheets pulling from Docs at render, holding no grants. As written, §2.1 is answerable in one sentence and the departure from the verdict is unjustified. The argument that actually closes it is in the design's own §11: only the credential origin mints assertions, so Sheets pulling from Docs "with the viewer's identity" means the home handing Sheets an `aud=acme.docs` assertion for you — an instance holding a bearer for you at a sibling, which §11's first row calls "a cross-instance bearer… full impersonation". Knowledge is the weak reason; the credential is the real one. Also, "only the home knows which apps a team has instances in" is false as stated — an instance can learn a sibling's existence via main's call 4b, and the springboard shows it to the viewer; what is uniquely the home's is minting plus which of a team's instances *you* have rows in. ## Required corrections 4. §9 preamble: "`main` took gate 11 for no-store (ruling 22), so these start at 11." False — main's no-store is **gate 10** and main has ten gates; §7 of this design says "the home spec's gate 10" itself. The 11-20 range is right, the sentence isn't. Also gate 20 is listed before 19. 5. Citations that don't resolve: §5 "(§16's gate)" should be gate 16; §3 "(§9 gate 1)" reads as home §9, the contract — it means home §12 gate 1; §2.1 "§11 lists cross-person aggregation as never licensed" — neither §11 does; it's this design's §3 and home §2.2. 6. §5 quotes §5.3's "last line" as: "Delivery is an auto-POST, not a query string, so assertions stay out of edge logs, browser history and referrers", then argues "Headers are not written to edge access logs the way query strings are." Main's §5.3 retracted the edge-logs reason on 2026-09-05: "No platform request log carrying paths was found… the third was inherited rather than verified." Quote the current line and drop that leg; the history and referrer legs still carry the argument. 7. §5: "Say which this is: **one process serving two hostnames**, so the signing key's exposure is unchanged." Nothing on main establishes this — AGENTS.md says one binary, §5.3 gives the directory origin "its own" `jti` store as a verifier, and the skeleton handles no hostnames. It is load-bearing (if the origins ever split, the directory needs a mint call and the key story changes), so it needs a citation or a place in §12. 8. §2.2(a): "fire an authenticated, timestamped request at all of a person's hosts at once" — stale; per-team makes it the selected team's hosts. The guest/removed-row sentence after it survives. 9. §8 "§11 stands: your teams grouped by app, and a New button" and §2.2's same quote cite the superseded §11. Main's §11 is "one page: a grid of apps, with a team switcher as a dropdown in the header" for the selected team (ruling 17). 10. §6's minimum pull interval "enforced even on an explicit refresh" is not related to the waking state. If a timed-out pull starts the interval, "acme · sheets — waking, refresh" cannot refresh during exactly the window the affordance exists for. Say whether the interval starts on any attempt or on a completed pull, and how it relates to §7's refresh TTL — the design now has three timers (refresh TTL, hard max age, minimum interval) and never says which one governs when. 11. §10: "Step 2 (sign-in) has a plan on `docs/step-2-signin-plan`" — the plan is on main as `docs/superpowers/plans/2026-09-03-home-signin.md` (`b92c9b8`). 12. Small: §6 "not the six a cross-team merge over three teams would have been" — three teams in three apps is nine; say what six counts. §2.2 "§9's six calls" — main's §9 now has call 4b as well. §0 "Only one clause changes" vs §3 also moving §0's gloss — say two. Nothing else in §5's oracle sections, §8's rendering, or §11's not-built list is broken by the rescope; they are per-person mechanisms and carry over. On the pressed question: per-team does not make the feature weak enough for an app to do — the merge across a team's apps needs a viewer-bound credential at each sibling, and only the home can mint one — but §2.1 does not currently say that, and the argument it does make is the wrong one.</result> <usage><subagent_tokens>87534</subagent_tokens><tool_uses>14</tool_uses><duration_ms>213394</duration_ms></usage> </task-notification>

The user can send it another message and resume it, so the same task-id may notify more than once.</note> <result>**VERDICT: APPROVE** — with nits listed below for the builder/author. The design is settled, the framed variant is honestly costed, the fan-out set holds, and nothing contradicts the home spec on `main`, the escritorio verdict, or itself in a way that would stop a builder. ## Verified at source **§2.1's framed-variant costing is accurate.** - *Same-site claim is correct.* The public suffix list carries only `works` (checked live, and in `golang.org/x/net/publicsuffix` table.go), so `oficina.works` is the registrable domain and `https://oficina.works` / `https://acme.docs.oficina.works` are schemeful same-site. A same-site iframe sends `SameSite=Lax` (and even `Strict`) cookies. rastrillo v0.22.0 sets `SameSite: http.SameSiteLaxMode` in `sessions/sessions.go:123`, `auth/auth.go:240`, `passkey/passkey.go:180` — so "the instance's own `SameSite=Lax` session cookie rides along" is right. - *Understated, not overstated:* rastrillo `serve.go:381,397` sets `frame-ancestors 'none'` and `X-Frame-Options: DENY` on every response by default, so the framed variant would also require every instance to relax its framing policy for the apex. Another cost, pointing the same way as the ruling. Optional one-clause addition. - *"No home-side throttle possible"* is very slightly overclaimed: the home authors the markup, so it could withhold the `<iframe>` inside an interval — but with no rows of its own it can only replace the frame with nothing. The precise form is "no home-side throttle that keeps rows on the page." Nit. - The other four costs (per-app panels, blank frame instead of ruling 5's gap, sign-in prompt for anyone without a live instance session, hostile pixels) are correct. Instance→instance and redirect-chain rejections are sound. **Fan-out set holds everywhere that defines it.** §0, scope, §2.2(a), §6, §8 rendering sentence, §8.1, gate 14 all say viewer's own rows. One descriptive leftover at line 240: "§6's fan-out drops from every instance a person can reach to **the apps in one team**" — mirrors home spec §13 step 10's own phrasing, but given the second review's blocking finding was exactly this phrase, change to "the viewer's own rows in one team". Nit. **Corrections B–P:** all present as claimed **except one** — see nit 1. Gate 12 (404 from declared participant), §6 two-absences, §11 calendar/mail (verified: `oficina/calendar` exists, no `oficina/mail`), call-2 citation (main §9: "Call 2 drives two events… an instance is deleted"), ruling 7 in the this-session list, clause count in §0/§3, refresh TTL in §12 (matches home §15), status block's three passes. Cited artefacts exist on `main`: `5a42f2d`, `b92c9b8`, `docs/superpowers/plans/2026-09-03-home-signin.md`. Gate numbering (home has 1–10, 10th no-store) correct. Quotes from home §11, §9 call 3, §3.3, §5.3, §5.5, §12 gate 4 all match `main`. ## Nits, in priority order 1. **Finding-1 row, right column — the claimed correction did not land.** The diff `80d01f6..6aee20e` changes only the *left* column (adds "Ruling 6 took the verdict's SECOND path… what was reopened is §2.2's verb, not §5.4"). The right column still says "**The ruling was reopened deliberately** … — **the first** of the two paths the verdict named." Within one row the design now says §5.4 was not reopened and that "the ruling" was reopened via the first path. Fix the right column to: §2.2's verb was reopened deliberately (rulings 1 and 2); §5.4 was not — the cross-team want was declined, the verdict's second path; §2.1 argues why a rendered page is not a held graph. Text-only, but it is the row about the verdict's most important finding. 2. **§1 table does not record Paul's ruling on the framed variant.** Ruling 2's rejected column lists "push into the home; push-a-signal/pull-detail hybrid". Browser-mediated composition satisfies ruling 2 as written (pull at render, nothing at rest), so a reader of the settled-decisions table would not see it as rejected. Add it to ruling 2's rejected column (or as ruling 8, Paul, 2026-09-05), pointing at §2.1. 3. **Status block is duplicated and self-contradictory.** Lines 6–15 (new, accurate summary of three passes) run straight into lines 16–26, the untouched first-pass paragraph ("run 2026-09-05 by Fable 5.1… six blocking findings… has not yet been re-reviewed… no longer unreviewed"). Delete the old paragraph. Likewise **§12's first bullet says "Not run"** — false; three passes have run, and on approval this bullet and line 92's "This design is not approved" need updating with the reviewing model named, per AGENTS.md. 4. **What lands on approval is understated.** §3 says "the same edit lands in `AGENTS.md`'s four things". Since the design now counts *two* clauses (§2.2's verb and §0's gloss "never learns" → "never retains"), the landing commit must also touch home spec §0 and AGENTS.md's "The one rule" (which quotes it verbatim), plus home spec §2.2's "Until then this clause stands", §11's "No activity feed yet… blocked on outstanding review", §13 step 10's "must be revised", and §15's open bullet. List them in §3 or §12 so the builder does not hunt. 5. §3 lines 334–341: "Publish the database and you still learn only counts, team names, memberships and §3.2's list" appears twice in one paragraph. 6. §5: the "§5.3's own last line" quote is the pre-retraction wording ("stay out of edge logs, browser history and referrers"); `main` now reads "browser history and referrers". Mark it as the earlier wording or quote current. 7. §7: edge cache "keyed on host, method, path and query" — home spec §11 says host, path and query. Drop "method" or say it's an inference. 8. §8.1 "(home spec §9's call 2, whose second event)" — grammar; and the event is *instance* deleted, not *team* deleted. "one whose instance was deleted (call 2's second event)". 9. §8's gap examples mix `acme` and `bigco` on one page; under ruling 6 a page is one team. Cosmetic, but `team` in "Every row: title, app, team…" is now constant per page. 10. §4 "seventh call" / §5 "seventh credential": home §9 has calls 1–6 plus 4b, and the "six credentials" are never enumerated. Harmless; consider "the next call" / "another credential". 11. §2.2(b): missing comma — "call 4b included, are uniformly". 12. §12 "They want measurement against a real canary" after the swap/core-dump bullet — those want checking, not measurement; the sentence belongs with the tunables. Minor. 13. §11 "Calendar and mail as sources": worth one clause that an `integrated: false` app cannot answer call 7 at all — it verifies no §5.3 assertion (home §11/§14) — which is the structural reason, not just the missing spec. None of these changes the mechanism, the gates, or the rulings. Nit 1 is the only one I would insist lands before merge, because it was reported as applied and was not.</result> <usage><subagent_tokens>126973</subagent_tokens><tool_uses>15</tool_uses><duration_ms>234227</duration_ms></usage> </task-notification>

The user can send it another message and resume it, so the same task-id may notify more than once.</note> <result>**VERDICT: CHANGES NEEDED** — one false-at-source claim that a builder would trip on, plus one false citation. Everything else checks out; the ruling itself is right. Branch state: `spec/team-selection-in-url` @ `f9ad2cf`, one commit over `5a42f2d`; `git merge-tree --write-tree main HEAD` against `b92c9b8` produces a conflict-free tree (main's step-2 commit touched the same file in different hunks). ## Blocking **B1. "§13 step 10's activity feed is per-team" is false at source.** It appears in row 22 (`docs/superpowers/specs/2026-08-30-home-design.md:66`), in §11's fragment retraction (line ~917), and in the commit message. The activity design (`.claude/worktrees/design-activity-pull/docs/superpowers/specs/2026-09-05-activity-pull-design.md`) says the opposite three times: scope is "what has been happening **across their teams and apps**"; §8: "**Merged across instances**, ordered by `at` descending"; and finding 1 (line 103) records that per-team aggregation "answered a different question" and the cross-team list was "reopened deliberately". Ruling 18's row says nothing about per-team. A step-10 builder reading ruling 22 would build a per-team feed against a design that specifies a cross-team one — that is a builder-tripping contradiction between two specs. The fragment stays rejected on the reason the branch already gives and which stands alone: the server never learns the team, so nothing server-rendered can be team-scoped — the grid (which tiles, which New buttons), the switcher's `aria-current`, and gate 4's 404 all need it. Drop the feed clause from both places, or reword it to "even the grid is server-rendered per team". **B2. "§8 refused a state-changing GET for theme" (line 937) — §8 says no such thing.** The only occurrences of "GET" in the whole spec are inside the ruling-22 text. §8 chose a redirect-based POST over a cross-origin credentialed *fetch* (CORS/SameSite/zero-JS), not over a GET. The bullet's substance is right (a theme write mutates; selecting a team doesn't); the citation is invented. One-line reword. ## Verified correct 1. **Codex arguments.** Back: correct in substance and the "may" is the right hedge. Precisely: with the design's own route-wide `no-store`, Chrome and Firefox refetch on Back (Chrome additionally evicts no-store pages from bfcache when a cookie changes), so the commoner failure is that Back re-renders Beta and is a no-op; the display/server mismatch happens wherever a page cache does hold the page. Either way the cookie design has no correct Back, and 303-after-POST doesn't help — it removes the POST from history but leaves two `/` entries with nothing to key the selection on. Tab coupling: correct as phrased. Not overstated, but note tile links are host-addressed (`acme.docs.oficina.works`) and never coupled; what is coupled is every same-origin team-dependent request — the render of `/` itself, New, the feed's refresh links — which is what "every team-dependent link and form" says. The unconditional form of "display and server disagree" is the two-tab case, not Back. 2. **Retractions.** `:target`: correct. Leak, three ways: sqids are already listed as public in §3.2; cross-site referrers are origin-only under the default `strict-origin-when-cross-origin`; and the platform claim holds at source — `carlos/platform/internal/edge` has 92 log calls, none carrying a path; the only per-request record is `UsageMeter.Record` (`internal/edge/usagemeter.go:36`), keyed on `rt.Host` with `Requests`/`BytesOut`; no log call anywhere in the platform reads `r.URL`; rastrillo v0.22.0 has no request logger; the skeleton logs only resolve/serve errors. So the §5.3 correction ("per-host counts and bytes, not URLs") is accurate, and history plus same-origin Referer are each sufficient on their own. 3. **Design.** `maybeStore` (`internal/edge/edge.go:1101-1176`) admits only 2xx with positive `max-age`, refuses on response `Set-Cookie`, request `Authorization`, `Vary: Cookie`, `Vary: *` — and nothing else — with `CacheKey{Host, Method, Path, RawQuery, VaryValue}`. The spec's caching paragraph is exactly right, including "does not refuse on a request `Cookie`". 302: on a GET entry 302/303/307 behave identically; what matters is not 301/308 (heuristically cacheable), and the edge never caches a non-2xx anyway, so `no-store` on the redirect is belt-and-braces, correctly stated. 4. **Gate 4.** "404, not 403" is the only 4xx rule in the spec (lines 944, 999); unknown sqid and not-your-team sqid are indistinguishable; guests have a directory row so they are "in". No conflict anywhere. 5. **Switcher.** `rastrillo@v0.22.0/ui/partials/dropdown.html` is `<details rst-dropdown>` / `<summary rst-btn>` / `<a href="{{.Href}}"{{if .Current}} aria-current="true"{{end}}>` — plain GET links, no script; gate 6 satisfied. `Current` needs the server to know the team: a further reason the fragment fails. 6. **§1 table.** Rows 1–22 contiguous, every row four cells, only blank is the one before the header; main's stray blank after row 20 is gone; separator now follows row 22. 7. **AGENTS.md on main** says nothing about the switcher, selection or `no-store`; no disagreement. ## Should fix in the same pass (not blocking alone) - **Signed-out shared link.** `/?team=X` to a signed-out person: sign-in returns to `/`, which 302s to their lowest team, not X. Say the §5.6 return URL preserves the query, or shared team links only work for people already signed in. - **"Lowest sqid"** is ambiguous between string and integer order. If the home mints like `carlos/platform/internal/domains/sqid.go` (monotonic base-23, min length 3), they diverge once lengths differ. Say "lowest id (the integer the sqid encodes)" — that is the oldest team, which is the meaningful rule. §10 never says how the home mints sqids (pre-existing gap). - **Unstated cost:** a multi-team person always lands on their oldest team from `/`; the stated cost covers shared links only. - **`no-store`** appears nowhere on `main`; "is not new" should read "the need is not new; this is the first place the spec says it". It is "asserted by a test" but absent from §12 — add gate 10. - Status line still says "four claims corrected"; §5.3 makes five. It also needs this review's model recorded (AGENTS.md rule) at merge. - Row 22's `prefs` clause ("which a browser-local choice should not") is the cookie draft's framing; the selection is now neither browser-local nor roaming.</result> <usage><subagent_tokens>121125</subagent_tokens><tool_uses>23</tool_uses><duration_ms>449183</duration_ms></usage> </task-notification>

Attribution (12, 69): GPT-6 Astra via Codex; `gpt-5.3-codex`/`gpt-5.3-sol` refused; name from Codex's rollout record. 3. §10 `teams` (781-783): integer id the sqid encodes, tied to the "oldest" rule. 4. §5.6 (466-471): return URL preserves query; gate 3 (1021) asserts it; §11 (965-968) defers to §5.6 rather than asserting a mechanism. 5. Ruling 18 row (65): "scoped PER TEAM, following `?team=`"; cross-team merged list in Rejected. 6. §13 step 10 (1073-1076): "not a merge-logic tweak", §2.1 re-justifying, §5.4 reopening revisiting. 7. Gate 10 (1040-1045) leads with what the test does; status line (10-12) records three Fable rounds and the Codex second opinion. **§1 table:** 22 rows, contiguous (header at 46, rows 48-69, no blank inside), four cells each. The stray blank between rows 20 and 21 on `main` is gone. **External citations resolve.** `design-activity-pull` (branch, file `2026-09-05-activity-pull-design.md`): its §2.1 really does carry the "only the home can answer *my things* rather than *this team's things*" argument (lines 141-144), its §6 is "Fan-out", its §12 says "Not run. This spec is not approved", and it describes the reopening of home's §5.4 (line 103) and a merged-across-instances list (488). rastrillo v0.22.0 `ui/partials/dropdown.html` is a `<details rst-dropdown>` of plain GET links with `aria-current="true"` on the current item, exactly as §11 says. **The edge-cache fact is true as written.** `carlos/platform/internal/edge/edge.go:1101-1140` (`maybeStore`): caches 2xx with a positive `max-age`; key is Host+Method+Path+RawQuery (`cache.go:33-40`); shared per host; refuses on response `Set-Cookie`, `Cache-Control: private`, `Vary: Cookie`, `Vary: *`, and a *request* `Authorization` without `public`. There is no check on a request `Cookie` anywhere in the package. So "it does not refuse on a request `Cookie`" is precisely right, and gate 10 is needed for the reason given. **AGENTS.md on `main`:** says nothing about team selection, cookies or `Cache-Control`; its "spec wins" clause covers the rest. No disagreement. (The branch's own copy of AGENTS.md is the pre-correction wording because it was cut before `main`'s fix, but the branch does not touch it and it merges clean.) **Provenance of ruling 22:** honestly stated. The row credits Paul with the ruling and Codex with a second opinion, and hedges the model name. The §11 narrative does not credit Codex with the decision. ## Nits (none blocking) 1. **Narrative gap, not falsehood.** §11 says "two rulings were drafted before this one and both were wrong" but never says `?team=` was already the position in the 2026-08-30 draft on `main` ("The selection lives in the URL (`?team=…`)"). Ruling 22 is a reaffirmation with reasons and the `/`-redirect mechanism added, after two detours. One clause would make that visible. 2. **Status line** (10): "Rulings 22 and its predecessors" should be "Ruling 22". And on merge it will read as three CHANGES NEEDED passes with no fourth; worth appending "fourth pass approved" when merging. 3. **Edge-cache fact stated twice** almost verbatim (§11 974-977, gate 10 1042-1045). Gate 10 could point at §11 instead. Also line 974 is unwrapped. 4. **"referrers send only the origin cross-site"** (936) is true under the browser default `strict-origin-when-cross-origin`; a builder should set `Referrer-Policy` explicitly rather than inherit a default. One clause. 5. **§10 cites "ruling 22's 'oldest team' rule"** but the §1 row does not contain "oldest"; the rule lives in §11's `/` paragraph. A reader finds it, but the citation is loose. 6. **"Oldest" means lowest `teams.id`**, which is monotonic only if the column is `AUTOINCREMENT` (plain SQLite rowid can reuse a deleted max). Worth one word when the schema is written. 7. **Gate 3** is titled "Assertion abuse suite" and now holds a functional, non-abuse assertion. Fine as a home for it since §5.6 lives there. 8. Cosmetic: chained em-dashes in the "No-store is route-wide" sentence (970-972).</result> <usage><subagent_tokens>104802</subagent_tokens><tool_uses>20</tool_uses><duration_ms>222613</duration_ms></usage> </task-notification>

The user can send it another message and resume it, so the same task-id may notify more than once.</note> <result>**VERDICT: APPROVE** — this merges. ## What I verified **Merge state.** `HEAD` is `4aca0f9`; `merge-base main HEAD` is `5a42f2d` = `main`, so the branch sits directly on top of it. `git merge-tree --write-tree main HEAD` exits 0 with tree `57d4a05`. Diff against `main` is exactly `AGENTS.md`, the plan, and the spec. **B6 (the one block).** Landed. The AGENTS.md Data bullet (lines 170-183) carries both `main`'s `auth_sessions` correction and this branch's signin-not-auth one, and names `Links: &linkStore{db: cfg.DB}` as the reason. That claim is true at the pin: `auth/auth.go:203` hardwires it, `auth/store.go:81` writes `address` into `auth_links`, and `auth/migrations/0001_init.sql:3,10` declares it `TEXT NOT NULL`. Spec §5.1 (lines 318-327) is corrected the same way. The plan's three "pending" statements (lines 7, 96, 1380) now say landed. The rulings-table blank line between rows 20 and 21 is gone, so ruling 21 renders as a row. **The nine follow-ups.** Eight confirmed in the text: Task 2's `git add` (line 551) has `app.go` and `testapp_test.go`; Task 4's (811) has `go.mod`/`go.sum`/`testapp_test.go`; `render.go` is created in Task 5 (820) and modified in Task 7 (1211); `CanaryAddress` must be in `Canaries` (347-349); `scriptSrcs` has one return (114, 1348); the `App` retains its `passkey.Config` (1352-1353); no stranded table row and no empty code fence anywhere in the file; `signIn` sends `Origin` (112, 132, 1041); the `logtestImport` const-to-slice wording (340-342) matches the real `const logtestImport` at `internal/guardstest/logtest_containment_test.go:12`. The ninth is not fully done — see follow-up 1. **Every source claim I could check at the pin holds.** `signin` v0.1.1: `Begin(ctx, address, clientIP string, force Method)`, IP budget skipped only when `clientIP == ""`, classification only when `Classifier` and `Keymail` are both non-nil, defaults 20/5/15min, `Key [32]byte`, `RedirectPath` default `/auth/callback`, `Class{Keymail, Server, Reauth}`, `CompleteMagicLink` sets only `At`, `SplitAddress` rejects a second `@`. rastrillo v0.22.0: `sessions.Config{DB, Origin, TTL, SigninPath}`, `Fresh` falls back to `At`, `(*Sessions).Sweep(now)`, `RequireFresh(maxAge)`; `passkey.Config` has no `RPID` field, derives it from `Origin`'s hostname, `ConfirmPath` default `/passkey/confirm`, `cfg` unexported, `Gate(w, r, sess) (bool, error)`, ten codes, `PostFormValue("code")`, `+passkey` vs `"passkey"`, `Sweep(db, now)`; `db.Open`'s DSN carries exactly the three pragmas and opens a writer capped at 1 plus 4+ readers, with `Ping` inside; `csrf.Protect` gates POST/PUT/PATCH/DELETE via `Sec-Fetch-Site`/`Origin`/`Referer`; `mail.Logged` logs `"to", to`; `auth.Verify` redeems on GET with `token`; `auth.Callback` redirects to `?force=1&err=keymail`; `clientIP` returns `RemoteAddr` unchanged when `SplitHostPort` fails; default CSP is `default-src 'self'` with `unsafe-inline` only on `style-src`; `webauthn.JS()` exists and `register()` takes `{challenge, rpId, rpName, userId, userName, prfSalt}`; `webauthn/authtest` exists; `ui/partials` class-spelling count is 6. `modernc.org/sqlite@v1.55.0` has `RegisterConnectionHook`. carlos edge has `stripForwardedHeaders` and `SetXForwarded` in `internal/edge/homemap.go`. sheets-core's `seal`, `sealtest` (`Canaries [][]byte`, uppercase, `bytes.Contains`, `leaked`/`findLeak` split), `LoadSealer`, `LoadAuthEnv` and `render.go` are all as described. Read once more as the executor: every task has a failing test, a stated failure reason, an implementation, and a `git add` whose file list matches the files the task creates. Nothing would stop me cold. ## Follow-ups for the executor, in flight 1. **File Structure still misplaces `rpid_test.go`.** Line 210 lists it under `internal/guardstest/`; Task 7 (line 1212) and its commit (line 1360) put it in `internal/home/`, with the reason. Task 7 wins — fix the tree diagram when touching the file. 2. **`TestServedCSPIsRastrillosDefault` cannot reference `defaultCSP`** — it is an unexported const in `serve.go`. Assert the app leaves `Options.CSP == ""` and that the served header's `default-src`/`script-src` carries no `'unsafe-inline'`. Note for the executor: spec §11 says the CSP "moves to `script-src 'self'`", and the default already delivers that through `default-src 'self'`, so no override is needed. 3. **`mail.Sender` and `signin.Mailer` have identical method sets**, so the capturing sender plugs straight into `Flow.Mailer` with no adapter. Worth a one-line comment where it is wired. 4. `TestFailedClassificationStillSendsAMagicLink` passes `clientIP ""`, which skips the IP budget by design — that is fine for the unit, but the X-Forwarded-For test in Task 5 step 3 is the one that proves the budget is per-client. Keep both. 5. Task 1 step 5c and Task 2 step 5 both specify the `sync.Once` around `RegisterConnectionHook` before `db.Open`. Harmless duplication; the Task 2 version is the authoritative one.</result> <usage><subagent_tokens>125963</subagent_tokens><tool_uses>22</tool_uses><duration_ms>208595</duration_ms></usage> </task-notification>

The user can send it another message and resume it, so the same task-id may notify more than once.</note> <result>**VERDICT: CHANGES NEEDED** The security architecture is now right — I re-verified all of it at source (rastrillo v0.22.0, keymaildev/signin v0.1.1, modernc sqlite v1.55.0, the carlos edge at 97eb53f, sheets-core, the spec and AGENTS.md on `main` at 5a42f2d). What remains is not design. It is that several of the tests that *are* the gates would not compile or would not test anything, and the boot path that loads the secrets has no step. Those are blocking for a plan that becomes authentication code; the rest are small. ## Your findings 1–9, checked at source | # | Status | |---|---| | 1 Per-IP | **Verified.** `auth.clientIP` returns `r.RemoteAddr` unchanged on `SplitHostPort` failure; `Flow.Begin` skips the budget only for `""`. Carlos `setForwarded` keeps "the LAST element … the client" and `stripForwardedHeaders` deletes inbound `X-Forwarded-*` on unverified hops. Plan text (lines 785–805) is correct. | | 2 Task 6 | Exists with Files/Interfaces/7 steps. Correct against `passkey.go`/`recovery.go` (`recoveryCodesPerSet = 10`, `PostFormValue("code")`, `sessions.HashToken`, `DELETE … RETURNING`, `pendingTTL`, `ConfirmPath` default). Defects below. | | 3 Gate on both paths | **Verified**, step 3. | | 4 Task 5 step 3 | **Verified.** Cookie attributes match `auth.setCookie` (auth.go:236–241); `force` matches `Begin`'s doc. | | 5 `Flow.Key` | Named. **But "loadSecrets and the boot refusals given steps" is false at source** — see B1. | | 6 Task 4/5 | `sealtest.Canaries` named, `Keymail` non-nil, `sync.Once`, `Origin` header all present. The renderer question is *named* but not *answered* (B4). Task 4's Interfaces still contradict themselves (M4). | | 7 Blind index | Struck from Task 4, **but residue survives** at line 422 and in the Deferred table (M7). | | 8 Residue | Some remains (lines 193, 422, 1122–1124, item 4 of "Three things"). | | 9 Ruling-21 allowlist | Prose is right; **the test code has no allowlist** (B3). | Also verified correct, since they were the riskiest claims: `sqlite.RegisterConnectionHook` is a package-level function (sqlite.go:785); the upsert `… DO UPDATE … RETURNING person_ref` returns `pr_a` on both insert and conflict (ran it against modernc v1.55.0); `Classify` makes no HTTP call after a non-NXDOMAIN TXT failure, so the fail-open test is sound; `Serve` only opens a DB `if opts.DBPath != ""`. ## Blocking **B1. Secrets and helpers are used and never created.** Line 108: *"Build these in Task 1 (`newTestApp`, `loadSecrets`) and Task 5 (`signIn`), each with its own step and its own test."* Task 1's steps are round-trip test / run / port seal.go / run / LoadSealer / commit. Task 5's are gate-2 test / run / wire Flow / verify / properties / gate / commit. **No step anywhere creates** `newTestApp`, `loadSecrets`, `signIn`, `capturedLink`, `passkeyConfig`, `templateNames`/`renderTo`/`sampleData`, a `HOME_PEPPER` loader, a `HOME_SIGNIN_KEY` loader, `blindIndex`/find-or-mint (prose only in Task 4; absent from its `git add`), the two boot refusals (no mailer, empty `DBPath`), or the `sealtest` port — which the plan itself notes at line 51 (*"Task 1's steps commit `internal/home/sealtest` without ever saying to create it"*) and then does not fix. And **`cmd/home/main.go` never calls `LoadSealer`**: Task 2's snippet is the only `main.go` edit and it wires only the DB; sheets' `main.go:82` calls `sheets.LoadSealer()`. So the answer to "is a secret used before it is loaded" is yes — three of the four are never loaded on the boot path at all. **B2. Gate 2's test does not compile, and would not parse as an address if it did.** Line 832: `signIn(t, app, "canary-"+sealtest.Canaries[0]+"@example.invalid")`. `Canaries` is `[][]byte` (Interfaces line 219; sheets `sealtest.go:22`) — `string + []byte` is a type error. And the plan's own instruction (line 58–59) makes the canary `canary-8f3a@example.invalid`, so the composed value has two `@`; `SplitAddress` cuts at the first, sees `@` in the domain, returns `ErrBadAddress`. The one test that *is* gate 2 cannot run. **B3. Task 7's no-script test forbids what Task 6 builds.** Step 2's prose: *"The only `<script>` on an allowlisted template is a same-origin `src` from a named list."* The code beneath it (lines 1151–1159) fails on any `<script` in any template with no allowlist at all. Task 6 lands first with `passkey_confirm.html` loading `webauthn.mjs`. The executor copies the code, not the prose. The script-strip-then-assert-recovery-form check and the CSP assertion are prose only, too. **B4. The renderer's owner is still undecided.** Lines 730–734: *"Either land Task 7 first or build the minimal renderer here and let Task 7 extend it — but say which."* The plan does not say which. Task 5 step 1 (`signIn` GETs the confirm page), Task 6's three templates and Task 7 all need `(*App).render`, which is Task 7's. As ordered, Tasks 5 and 6 cannot execute. **B5. The RP-ID guard asserts a constant against itself.** Lines 1110–1119 define `const credentialOrigin = "https://id.oficina.works"` *inside the test* and check `u.Hostname() != "id.oficina.works"`. That cannot fail whatever the app configures; only the `LegacyRPID` half reads `passkeyConfig(t)`. By the plan's own rule (*"a guard never seen to fail is a guard written to pass"*) parse `passkeyConfig(t).Origin`. The comment *"Until Task 6 lands there is no passkey.Config"* is residue from when Task 6 was deferred. ## Must fix, mechanical - **M1. `static/` path.** Tasks 6 and 7 create and `git add` `static/passkey.js`, `static/tokens.css` at repo root, while saying "follow sheets-core's `render.go`" — which is `//go:embed all:static` *inside* `internal/sheets/`. `go:embed` cannot reach a parent directory. `rastrillo new` scaffolds `internal/<pkg>/static/` and its `TestVendoredAssetsMatchTheLibrary` reads `../<pkg>/static`. Should be `internal/home/static/`. - **M2.** Task 6 Files: *"Modify: … `internal/home/db.go` (schema merge)"* and its `git add`. Task 2 put `Schema`/`BootSchema` in `models.go`; no `db.go` exists. - **M3.** File Structure line 193: *"templates/ Scriptless screens. `class="rst-*"`."* Contradicts ruling 20. - **M4.** Task 4 Interfaces: *"Consumes: `seal.Sealer`, `NewPersonRef`, `sessions.Sessions`, `mail.Sender`."* next to *"needs no `sessions` or `mail.Sender`."* - **M5. The seven-utility carve-out is missing.** §11 and AGENTS.md on `main`: `rst-sr-only`, `rst-mono`, `rst-m-hide`, `rst-grow`, `rst-nm`, `rst-danger`, `rst-cell-mut` keep `class=` — *"Write `<span rst-sr-only>` and nothing matches, so screen-reader-only text renders visible."* The plan's ruling-20 bullet and Task 7 say attribute spelling with no exception. - **M6.** Task 4 step 5: *"on the same wake-driven schedule §6 uses for the outbox — never a ticker, since a hibernating app runs no timers."* §6's sentence is about instances; AGENTS.md: *"The home does not hibernate."* No wake-driven schedule exists in this step. Say: sweep at boot and on each `PutLink` (as `passkey.Sweep`'s doc suggests). - **M7.** Line 422: *"must be settled before the pepper is implemented in step 4"* and the Deferred table's *"The pepper and the blind index"* row — both contradict Task 4's *"The blind index is built in this task, not deferred."* - **M8.** Task 6 Interfaces name only the seven JSON routes. The GET pages (`ConfirmPath`, enrol, recovery codes) and the two script assets need routes; `ConfirmPath`'s value and `RequireFresh`'s `maxAge` are unspecified. - **M9.** "Three things" item 4 is stale: gate 9 (`internal/home/logtest`, `repo_test.go`) is on `main` at 9162ee5. ## Nits - Line 979 conflates the Gate finish with step-up: `SignInFinish` mints `method+"+passkey"`; `StepUpFinish` mints `"passkey"` alone. - `webauthn/authtest` exists (rastrillo's own `passkey_test.go` uses it to enrol); name it for Task 6 step 2. - `register()` needs `rpId`, `userId`, `userName`; `/begin` returns only `challenge`. Say userId = person ref and userName is not the address (the app cannot have it there anyway). - Go's `mime` already maps `.mjs` to `text/javascript; charset=utf-8`; the explicit Content-Type is harmless. - `strings.Contains(LegacyRPID, ".oficina.works")` passes `x.oficina.works.evil`; use `HasSuffix`. - `UNIQUE` on `blind_index` already indexes it; `idx_people_blind_index` is redundant. - `db.DB` has no reader accessor; asserting `secure_delete` "on one reader" needs `d.G.Clauses(dbresolver.Read)` — say how. - §5.1 and AGENTS.md (lines 176–178) both still say classification goes through `rastrillo/auth`; the plan's "filed" correction should name AGENTS.md too. ## Plainly Not mergeable yet. Nothing here reopens the design — the seal, the sealed link store, the `DELETE … RETURNING`, GET-renders/POST-redeems, the XFF fix, the Gate on both paths, the RP-ID rule are all sound and verified. But B1–B5 mean the executor would hit a compile error in gate 2, a red no-script test on the plan's own output, an undecided renderer before the first handler test, a guard that cannot fail, and a boot path that never loads three of four secrets. Fix those five and the mechanical list, and this is ready.</result> <usage><subagent_tokens>196203</subagent_tokens><tool_uses>39</tool_uses><duration_ms>449506</duration_ms></usage> </task-notification>

The user can send it another message and resume it, so the same task-id may notify more than once.</note> <result>**VERDICT: CHANGES NEEDED** The table rebuild is correct and the cookie *conclusion* is defensible, but ruling 22 rests on three reasons that are false or overstated — exactly the failure this spec keeps retracting — and it does not say how a scriptless switcher sets the cookie, which is where the "not the URL" framing quietly breaks. File: `/home/paulca/amadan.net/oficina/home/.claude/worktrees/team-session/docs/superpowers/specs/2026-08-30-home-design.md` (row 22 at line 66; §11 prose at lines 892–917). ## What holds - **Table rebuild.** 22 rows, contiguous, 5 pipes each, header and separator intact, `---` now after the blank line. On `main` the blank line ended the table at row 20 and row 21 followed by `---` rendered as a setext H2. Fixed correctly, nothing lost. - **"A fragment never reaches the server"** — true (RFC 3986 §3.5). - **`no-store` is sufficient at the edge.** `parseMaxAge` (`carlos/platform/internal/edge/edge.go:1275`) returns not-ok on `no-store`, `no-cache`, `private`, *and* on a missing `max-age`. The edge refuses `Set-Cookie` responses and `Vary: Cookie`, and does not refuse on a request `Cookie` — so a signed-in 2xx GET with any positive `max-age` is served to every visitor. The test is worth having. - **Not a §14 preference** — the distinction is real, but stated with the wrong test (below). ## Reasons that are false or overstated 1. **"Cannot work" for the fragment is false.** CSS `:target` reads the fragment with zero script: render every one of the viewer's team grids, `#acme:target { display:block }`, dropdown items are `href="#acme"`, default via `:not(:has(:target))`. That is a legitimate scriptless design — no request, no cookie, no log line, bookmarkable. It may still be the wrong trade (all grids in one page, CSS-only tab mechanics, `aria-current` via `:has`), but the row must say *that*, not "a scriptless page cannot use it". 2. **"The platform's own request logs" — I found no such log.** The edge writes no per-request line with a path or query (grep of `internal/edge`, `usage`, `applog`); `usage.EdgeRow` is per-host request counts and bytes; `carlos logs` is app stdout. Note §5.3 already says "edge logs" for the auto-POST decision — that inherited claim looks equally unsupported. The *real* §3.4 vector is the home's own stdout: if any request-logging middleware ever prints `GET /?team=acme`, gate 9 fires. That is a sound, narrower reason — but it applies equally to a `GET /switch?team=acme` link (see 4). 3. **§3.4 does not cover URLs, and team names already reach the platform.** §3.4's text is "no address, team name, or queue payload in any log line, error string, job status message or metric label" — the home's own emissions. Ruling 16 puts the label in every instance hostname, so it sits in the platform's per-host usage rows, TLS certs and DNS regardless. Referrers: default `strict-origin-when-cross-origin` sends only the origin cross-site, and the destination is `acme.docs.oficina.works` anyway. History: same. The row's "puts an account-authored name in referrers, history and platform logs" is wrong on all three. And §10 already has a **team sqid**: `?team=<sqid>` carries no account-authored string at all, which dissolves this objection to `?team=` entirely. The one surviving reason against `?team=` is the preference that front-door links not be team-specific — say that alone. 4. **The switcher mechanics are unspecified, and they put the team back in a URL.** `dropdown.html` (`rastrillo@v0.22.0/ui/partials/dropdown.html`) requires an `Href` per item — every item is a GET. A scriptless page cannot set a cookie without a request, so each item must be `GET /team/<sqid>` → `Set-Cookie` + `303 → /`. That is implementable, but: (a) the team is in a URL for that hop, so "not the URL" is true only of the front door's own URL; (b) it is a state-changing GET, which §8 refused for theme ("redirect-based POST"), and it is trivially cross-site triggerable (harmless, but the inconsistency should be ruled, not discovered); (c) the value must be the sqid, not the label, or reason 2 bites; (d) the endpoint must 404 on a sqid outside the viewer's rows (gate 4) and be on gate 6's list. None of this is in the spec. 5. **The §14 argument uses the wrong test.** "Dies with the session, survives no sign-out" — there is no sign-out (§14 lists it as not built), and a browser "session cookie" survives Chrome's restore-on-restart; if the directory session lives weeks, so does the selection and to the person it *is* "remembered". The distinction that actually holds is §8's: a preference is per person, suite-level, rides the assertion, and roams. The selection is per browser, never in the assertion, never in `prefs`. Say that. 6. **The "cost" is not new.** The front door already depended on the directory session cookie and rendered the viewer's own rows ("tiles come from the viewer's own rows"), so it could never be edge-cached before ruling 22 either. And it is not front-door-only: every authenticated response on both origins needs `no-store`/`private`. Make the test route-wide, not one URL. ## Consequences to write down - **New button:** the cookie is shared across tabs; a tab rendered for team A, after another tab switches to B, must not provision in B. New's target must carry the team sqid explicitly — i.e. that action stays in the URL. - **Fallbacks:** no cookie (one team → it; many → first/most recent, ruled), cookie naming a team the viewer no longer has, zero teams. - **Bookmarking a team's front door is lost** — state it as accepted. - §4 hostnames and tile links: unaffected. AGENTS.md: no mention of the selection, nothing to sync. **Minimum to approve:** rewrite row 22's "Rejected" column and the §11 paragraphs with the true reasons (fragment: `:target` trade rejected; `?team=`: link-shape preference only, since a sqid answers the leak claim); specify the switch endpoint (method, sqid value, cookie attributes, 404 rule, gate 6 listing); replace the §14 argument with the per-browser/never-in-assertion test; make the `no-store` test cover every non-static route on both origins and drop "now". Alternatively, given that the sqid kills the strongest objection, Paul may prefer to keep ruling 17's `?team=<sqid>` — the cookie design costs an endpoint and a state-changing GET to avoid a team-shaped link.</result> <usage><subagent_tokens>77757</subagent_tokens><tool_uses>14</tool_uses><duration_ms>268063</duration_ms></usage> </task-notification>

The per-IP claim is false at source, and the true behaviour is a suite-wide sign-in DoS.** The plan says *"`r.RemoteAddr` for the peer is `""`, `auth`'s `clientIP` returns it unchanged, and `Flow.Begin` skips the IP budget entirely when `clientIP == ""`."* I measured it: over a Linux unix socket `r.RemoteAddr` is `"@"`. `clientIP("@")` returns `"@"` (SplitHostPort fails, `handlers.go:259-265`), and `Flow.Begin` only skips when exactly `""` (`flow.go:122`). So every request shares the key `ip:@` with budget 20 per 15 minutes — twenty POSTs to `/signin` lock out the whole suite for a quarter hour. rastrillo's own comment admits the collapse ("collapsing the per-IP budget into a global one"). The plan then refuses to decide: *"either name the trusted platform header … or pass `""` deliberately … Decide it here rather than discovering it in production"* — and doesn't. The answer exists: the carlos edge runs `pr.SetXForwarded()` on every proxied request and strips inbound `X-Forwarded-For` unless hop-verified (`platform/internal/edge/homemap.go:808, 910-918`). The plan must say: take the last `X-Forwarded-For` element, fall back to `RemoteAddr` only when the header is absent, and test both. **2. Task 6 is still a stub.** It has zero `- [ ]` steps, no Files, no Interfaces, no tests, no commit. Every other task has all of them. What an executor cannot derive from it: - `passkey.Schema` must be merged into `BootSchema`; Task 2's `migrate.Merge(sessions.Schema, Schema)` omits it, and `Gate` INSERTs into `passkey_pending` (`passkey.go:206`). - The seven routes from the package doc (`passkey.go:20-27`), `ConfirmPath`, the enrolment page, and the show-codes-once page *"mounted behind sessions.RequireFresh"* (`passkey.go:56-57`). - *"So nobody has to write it"* is overstated. `webauthn.mjs` only **exports** `register()`/`authenticate()` (152 lines, no DOM wiring). The default CSP forbids inline script (`serve.go:381-382`), so the app must write and serve its own same-origin module that calls them and POSTs to `/passkey/*`. That is script the plan says nobody writes. - No test that an enrolled person cannot obtain a session from the first factor alone. **3. Handler-without-guard: the Keymail callback bypasses the second factor.** Task 6: *"At the point `POST /signin/verify` would call `sessions.SignIn`, call `passkey.Handlers.Gate`"*. Task 5: *"`GET /signin/callback` may mint on GET"*. Nothing puts `Gate` on the callback. In rastrillo both `Verify` and `Callback` funnel through the one `admit` (`handlers.go:75-111, 132-160`). As written, a Keymail-upgraded account with a passkey enrolled signs in with one factor. **4. Task 5 Step 3 drops the Keymail upgrade the task exists to deliver.** *"`POST /signin` calls `Flow.Begin`, then 303 to a "check your mail" page — always, and always the same page."* On `NextKeymail`, `Begin` returns `Redirect` and `Pending` and sends no mail (`flow.go:151-176`); the handler must set the pending cookie and 303 to `next.Redirect` (`handlers.go:52-57`). Also missing: the `force` escape hatch (`auth.Callback` redirects to `?force=1&err=keymail`; without it a failed Keymail approval is a dead end, against §5.1's "every address has a working path"), and the pending cookie's attributes — `__Host-`, `SameSite=Lax`, `HttpOnly`, cleared on read — which are unexported in `auth` and are exactly what the GET-may-mint argument rests on. **5. Secrets and boot guards with no step.** `Flow.Key` — *"a non-zero `Key` from config"* — is a fourth secret nobody names; `sealPending` refuses a zero key (`pending.go:ErrNoKey`), so the first Keymail address errors. `HOME_PEPPER` loading has no file, test or step. The mailer and `DBPath` refusals (H) live in the preamble only. Under *"TDD is not optional"*, none of these get built. **6. The Task 4/5 restructure does not hang together.** Task 4's Files say `signin.go`/`signin_test.go`/templates but its commit adds `links.go`/`links_test.go`; Task 5's Files say create `links.go` — the file Task 4 just committed. Both tasks "Produce: `(*App).links`". Task 4's Interfaces name `signin.LinkStore` and `newTestApp` wires a `signin.Flow`, but the `signin` dependency is only added in Task 5. `sealtest.Token` (Task 5 Step 1) is produced nowhere (`sealtest` exports `Canaries` only). Task 5's `GET /signin/verify` *"renders a scriptless confirmation page"* using `(*App).render`, produced in Task 7, with a template no task names. `newTestApp`/`signIn` are in a table but no step builds them. `TestFailedClassificationStillSendsAMagicLink` is vacuous unless `newTestApp` wires a non-nil `Flow.Keymail` — `Begin` skips classification entirely when it is nil (`flow.go:145`). **7. The plan contradicts itself on the blind index.** Task 2 Step 3: *"it must be settled before the pepper is implemented in step 4 … nothing writes it yet."* Task 4: *"The blind index is built in this task, not deferred."* The Deferred table still lists it as blocked. Ruling 3 is settled in §1, so Task 4 is right; the other two sentences must go. **8. Residue not swept.** Deferred table: *"Passkey enrollment and step-up | Paul rules on §11's zero-JS absolute"*. Self-review: *"§5.2 is Task 6, blocked and said so"*, *"gates 1 and 2 are Tasks 1 and 4"*, *"The one unverified identifier: `signin.ClassKeymail`"*. Task 7 Step 2: *"If Task 6's ruling grants a carve-out"* — conditional on a ruling already made, and the test code has no allowlist. File Structure lists `classify.go` (no task creates it) and no `links.go`. Task 4 "Consumes: … `sessions.Sessions`, `mail.Sender`" though it builds only the store. **9. What ruling 21 now lets through that the plan should still forbid.** The allowlist as described exempts *screens*, which admits any script on them. It should constrain: the only `<script>` on an allowlisted template is a same-origin `src` from a named list; no inline bodies; a test that the served CSP is still rastrillo's default (`Options.CSP` untouched); and, since the confirm page will carry both the ceremony and the recovery form, a script-stripped render of it must still contain a working `code` form posting to `/passkey/signin/recovery` (gate 6's shape). Executor detail: serve `.mjs` with an explicit `text/javascript` Content-Type, or strict MIME checking blocks the module. **10. The GET-may-mint-on-callback argument is sound** — with the caveats in 3 and 4. `CompleteKeymail` requires the HMAC'd pending blob from the cookie and `p.State == state` (`flow.go:211-218`), then an address-mismatch check; the callback URL is never emailed, so the scanner argument does not apply. It holds only if the app replicates the `__Host-`/Lax/single-use cookie exactly and puts `Gate` on the path. Minor: `RegisterConnectionHook` is process-global, so `newTestApp` needs a `sync.Once`; the `signIn` helper must send an `Origin` header or `csrf.Protect` refuses its POSTs.</result> <usage><subagent_tokens>148224</subagent_tokens><tool_uses>34</tool_uses><duration_ms>391758</duration_ms></usage> </task-notification>

The user can send it another message and resume it, so the same task-id may notify more than once.</note> <result>I have everything I need; no further checks. Verdict follows. **VERDICT: CHANGES NEEDED** The redesign itself is right and I would not ask for a fourth shape of the scanner. Two things remain, both small and both provable by running code: one assertion whose stated reason is false for the likeliest route step 2 will add, and one transformed-leak encoding the branch's own principle says is a leak. Everything else claimed in the commit and the package doc checked out at source. ## Required changes ### 1. `internal/home/logs_test.go:132-148` — the route assertion's reason is false for a handler that answers 404 itself The comment (line 132) and the error text (line 145) both say "the route is declared but its handler never ran, so gate 9 did not scan it". I planted `r.Get("/teams/{team}", ...)` whose handler logs `chi.URLParam(r,"team")` through `slog.Default()` and then calls `http.NotFound`. Result, same run: ``` logs_test.go:145: GET /teams/CANARY-TEAM-NAME-7c2e answered 404: the route is declared but its handler never ran, so gate 9 did not scan it. ... logs_test.go:151: gate 9: "CANARY-TEAM-NAME-7c2e" reached a log line. ``` The handler ran, gate 9 scanned it and caught the leak, and the assertion said neither happened and pointed at `fillParams`. A directory route that 404s an unknown slug is the first real route this app will have, so this fires on day one of step 2 with a wrong diagnosis. It fails loud rather than silent, which is why it is not a scanner bug — but the repo's rule is that a stated reason must be true, and this one is not. Fix, verified against chi v5.3.2: attach a route context before serving and test whether chi dispatched, rather than what the handler answered. ```go rctx := chi.NewRouteContext() req = req.WithContext(context.WithValue(req.Context(), chi.RouteCtxKey, rctx)) router.ServeHTTP(w, req) if declared[tg] && rctx.RoutePattern() == "" { t.Errorf(...) } ``` Probe results: `GET /teams/CANARY -> 404 routed="/teams/{team}"`, `GET /no-such -> 404 routed=""`, `POST /healthz -> 405 routed=""`, `GET / -> 200 routed="/"`. `Mux.ServeHTTP` reuses a context already on the request, and `FindRoute` sets the pattern only on a match. The doc comment at lines 37-40 and the commit message's "answers 404 or 405 never ran its handler" need the same correction. ### 2. `internal/home/logtest/logtest.go:178-181` — `encodings` misses the form both handlers give a nested `[]byte` Every form in my previous table is now FOUND (full list below). Three related forms are MISSED, all the queue-payload canary: | value | TextHandler prints | JSONHandler prints | |---|---|---| | `struct{Payload []byte}` | `{Payload:[67 65 78 65 82 89 ...]}` | `{"Payload":"Q0FOQVJZLVFVRVVFLVBBWUxPQUQtOTNiZA=="}` | | `[]any{[]byte(...)}` | `[[67 65 78 ...]]` | `["Q0FO..."]` | | `map[string][]byte` | `map[p:[67 65 78 ...]]` | `{"p":"Q0FO..."}` | Both handlers print the content; the scanner does not recognise decimal bytes or base64. Production is `slog.Default()` unconfigured (see below), which uses the text path, so `[67 65 78 ...]` is exactly what reaches the platform log. A job struct with a `Payload []byte` field logged whole via `slog.Any("job", job)` is more plausible than logging the bare slice, and the test file's own comment says a payload "is the sink most likely to arrive as a byte slice"; `encodings`' own rule is "a transformed leak is still a leak", which is the reason percent-encoding is there. Add `base64.StdEncoding`, `base64.RawStdEncoding`, `base64.URLEncoding` and `fmt.Sprint([]byte(c))` forms, with a regression test for the struct-field case. (Hex `%x` and an explicit base64 string were also missed; those need a caller to encode deliberately, so I list them for completeness, not as required.) ## Verified **1. Fan-out catches the prior table.** All FOUND: plain struct with redacting `String`, nested struct, `[]tm` and `map[string]tm` of TextMarshaler (and map keyed by one), pointer-receiver `MarshalJSON` as pointer and as value (value leaks via `%+v` of the unexported field), LogValuer resolving to a struct, `time.Time` and `time.Duration` fields, `[]any{struct}`, `*string`, `%+v`-only Formatter, `MarshalText` error and `MarshalJSON` error (both via `!ERROR:` text), named byte slice, `json.RawMessage` (top level and as a struct field), TextMarshaler, group name with no attrs, inline group key, wrapped error, `With`-bound attr, `http.Header`, `url.URL` and `*url.URL`, `slog.GroupValue` inside `Any`, nested `map[string]any`. Nil `*T` with value-receiver `MarshalText` prints `<nil>`/`null` with no panic; a panicking `MarshalText` prints `!PANIC: boom`. **2. Mechanics.** `Record.Attrs` (record.go) only reads `front`/`back`, so two handlers on one record is sound; a `LogValuer` is resolved once per handler, and my flaky-valuer probe shows the union still catches a first-call-only leak. `recorderWriter` is correct: each stock handler builds a full line and issues one `Write` under its own mutex; `recorderWriter` takes `rec.mu` per `Write`, so interleaving is at line granularity. `-race` with 50 goroutines x 200 records: 50,000 lines, none split, no data race. `slog.Level(math.MinInt32)` is inert rather than wrong: `commonHandler.handle` never consults `enabled`, and the wrapper's `Enabled` returns true, so nothing is filtered at any level. `WithGroup("")` returns the receiver at the wrapper; stock `TextHandler.WithGroup` has no empty check at all (text_handler.go:54), so the wrapper's check is what preserves the contract. `WithAttrs` copies `groups`. **3. Escaping.** The premise in the question is wrong at source: `json_handler.go:152` sets `SetEscapeHTML(false)`, so `<`, `>`, `&` are not escaped, and `encoding/json` never escapes valid non-ASCII. Probe with `CANARY-ADDRESS-é-<&>@example.invalid`: both handlers print it verbatim, found by the raw form. `needsQuoting` (text) and `appendEscapedJSONString` (JSON) escape `\n \t " \\` identically and both write U+2028 as `\u2028`; they differ only on other control characters (`\u00XX` vs `\xXX`), which no canary carries. The `strconv.Quote` form is therefore sufficient for the canaries used; the comment at logtest.go:176-177 ("what JSONHandler does to one carrying an escape") is over-broad for control characters, a nit. **4. Route assertion.** `declared` is populated with the filled path and the declared method only, and the same key is compared after serving. Planted `{id:[0-9]+}` fails as claimed; planted DELETE-only passes. Also passed clean: `/files/*` wildcard, `r.Handle` (Walk yields all nine methods incl. CONNECT/TRACE, all routed), `r.Head`, `Mount` of a plain handler, `Mount` of a sub-router with `/`, `/{team}` and a nested `Route`. The nested-brace `{id:[0-9]{2}}` fails as the commit says (`fillParams` yields `/nb/{id:[0-9]CANARY...}`). The false trip is item 1 above. **5. Mutation.** All seven new tests fail against HEAD~1's `logtest.go` (including both panic subtests); the older tests still pass there, so the seven are the discriminating ones. **6. `make test`** passes under `CGO_ENABLED=0` with `GOCACHE` redirected: vet, gofmt, build, and all three test packages ok. **7. Comment accuracy at source.** - JSONHandler calls `json.Marshal` on the whole value, not `MarshalJSON` directly: true (`appendJSONMarshal` uses a `json.Encoder`); the error special case (`err.Error()` unless it is also a `json.Marshaler`) is at json_handler.go:128-130. - TextHandler uses `%+v`: true (text_handler.go:117), after TextMarshaler and byte-slice checks. - Panic recovery, `<nil>` for nil pointer else `!PANIC:`: true (handler.go `appendValue`). - Marshal failure prints `!ERROR:`: true, but the literal is `"!ERROR:%v"` with no space; the doc and commit write "!ERROR: …". Nit. - Empty groups dropped: true (`appendAttr` skips `len(attrs)==0`; `appendNonBuiltIns` opens no groups when `NumAttrs()==0`). Probe confirms the group name appears only via the wrapper's explicit write. - "The production sinks are these two handlers": loose. `main.go` uses `slog.Default()` unconfigured and rastrillo only falls back to `slog.Default()`, so production is slog's `defaultHandler` (`commonHandler{json:false}` via `log`). Its value rendering is TextHandler's, so the scan is a superset; worth one sentence. - Rastrillo resolves `slog.Default()` at construction: true (serve.go:290, `recoverPanics` captures it). `slog.SetDefault` calls `log.SetOutput`/`SetFlags(0)` and skips that for a `defaultHandler`: true. chi `middleware.Logger` uses `log.New(os.Stdout, ...)` (logger.go:177), `Recoverer` writes `os.Stderr`: true. - Not-covered list: accurate. rastrillo exports no metrics (the only "metric" grep hit is "symmetric"); `jobs/jobs.go:199` does `j.finish(job, Failed, err.Error())` as described; `main.go` has exactly two `logger.Error` calls. Spec citations (§3.4, §12 gate 9, §13 step 1) and the AGENTS.md three-vs-four sink count against `fix/agents-md-matches-spec` are all as stated. - `logs_test.go:31` says "Two things are still on the author of step 2" and lists three bullets. Nit. **Merge readiness.** Not yet, but close: the gate no longer claims more than the scanner delivers on value rendering, which was the substance of the two prior reviews. What is still over-claimed is the route assertion's reason, and the one encoding gap is on the canary the branch itself singled out. Fix those two and this is mergeable; the nits can ride along or not.</result> <usage><subagent_tokens>113273</subagent_tokens><tool_uses>18</tool_uses><duration_ms>612348</duration_ms></usage> </task-notification>

One wording fix I would make in the merge commit (it is one clause and errs in the safe direction, so it does not block), plus cosmetic nits. Everything else verified at source. Housekeeping first: `git diff main..HEAD` shows gate 9's six test files as deletions — that is the merge-base artifact (branch cut from `462df84`, main since merged `9162ee5`). `git diff main...HEAD` touches only `AGENTS.md` (+138/−32). Nothing to worry about. ## 1. Utility carve-out — correct and complete **Method.** Stripped comments from `ui/tokens.css` at `github.com/carlosframework/rastrillo@v0.22.0`, extracted every `.rst-*` class selector (148 distinct) and every `[rst-*]` attribute selector (129 bare + 15 valued), then mapped each class to its attribute twin under rastrillo's grammar (`.rst-x` → `[rst-x]`, `.rst-x__y` → `[rst-x-y]`, `.rst-x--v` → `[rst-x~="v"]`, `.rst-x__y--v` → `[rst-x-y~="v"]`) and listed classes whose twin is absent. **Result:** exactly seven — `rst-sr-only` (5 class / 0 attr), `rst-mono` (2/0), `rst-m-hide` (1/0), `rst-grow` (2/0), `rst-nm` (5/0), `rst-danger` (5/0), `rst-cell-mut` (1/0). No eighth. Cross-checked against upstream's own authority: `internal/markup/markup.go:55` `var Utilities` is precisely these seven, and `ui/markup_v3_test.go` `TestClassesThatKeepTheirSpellingAreStillReal` asserts none has grown an attribute form. The rest of the paragraph's evidence also holds: the six surviving `class=` in v0.22.0 partials are `rst-danger` (bulk-bar), `rst-sr-only` ×3 (choice-field, field-daterange, list-bar-search), `rst-mono` ×2 (detail-list, error-page) — utilities, as claimed. 124→6 reproduces only with template comments stripped (raw is 128), so the stated method is load-bearing and correct. `callout.html` is `<div rst-callout rst-tone="…">`. Header quotes are verbatim; "every *component* rule" is the header's own word; the "every shipped partial writes [classes] today" sentence is still there at line 24 and is indeed stale upstream. v0.20.0 and both 2026-08-30 pseudo-versions are 528/0; v0.21.0 (tagged 2026-08-30T23:14Z) is 536/468; first pin was v0.21.0 (`ef8a30f`). `rastrillo doctor` exists in v0.21.0's `cmd/rastrillo/doctor.go`, not v0.20.0. Nothing elsewhere in the file contradicts the carve-out. ## 2. Ruling 21 — one should-fix Everything matches the spec except one clause. Spec §11 and the ruling row say the screens "may load **script**"; AGENTS.md line 244-245 says they "may load **rastrillo's own `webauthn.JS()`**". That licenses *less*, not more — but less than the ceremony needs. `webauthn.JS()` is a library module exposing `register()`/`authenticate()`; rastrillo's own docs (`passkey/passkey.go` package doc, `docs/site/passkeys.md:68`) say the confirm page "runs `webauthn.mjs`'s `authenticate()`", i.e. the page needs its own script to import, call, and POST the result. Read literally, AGENTS.md forbids that glue on the only screens where script is allowed, while its own next sentence describes an allowlist *by screen*. Fix: mirror the spec — "may load script; rastrillo ships the client half (`webauthn.JS()`)". Spec-side note: the spec's "so nothing has to be written" slightly overstates too, for the same reason. Also: no no-`<script>` test exists in the repo yet, and spec §12 has no numbered gate for it (gate 6 is the affordance diff, still worded "every page"). AGENTS.md mirrors the spec faithfully; the gap is the spec's. ## 3. Staleness items - §11 opening line: fixed on the spec branch (`fb42ef0`) — now "the **attribute** vocabulary … (ruling 20)". - §15 re-ruling entry: fixed — struck through, "closed by ruling 20". - §5.1 `auth_sessions.address TEXT NOT NULL`: untouched and still stale. At v0.22.0 the table is created by `auth/migrations/0001_init.sql` but `0002_sessions_backfill.sql` copies its rows into `sessions` and empties it; `auth/store.go:26` says it is no longer written; the readable address now lands in `sessions.subject` via `handlers.go:136` `Subject: id.Address`, and in `auth_links.address` (`store.go:82`). AGENTS.md's Data bullet is the accurate one. Does it matter? Not for the ruling — ruling 14's grounds survive on `auth_links` and the Subject. It matters only in that the two files now cite different tables for the same fact; a one-line fix on the spec branch when next touched. ## 4. Whole-file correspondence Checked every citation against the spec branch: §0 wording, §2.1 (hibernate, verbatim), §2.2 four never-dos, §3.2/3.3/3.4 (log rule incl. "job status message"), §4 RP ID reasoning, §5.1, §5.3 (120s, `jti`, audience), §5.4 two-sided test and both retractions, §5.7 `LegacyRPID`, §6 quote (exact), §9.1 prune rule, §10, §12 gates 1/2/9 wording, §13 step 1. All match. Source claims: `passkey.Config` has no RP ID field, `RPID: u.Hostname()` (`passkey.go:161`), `New` validates only that `Origin` is absolute — "accepted silently" holds; `webauthn.go:122` `allowLegacy` only for assertions; `cmd/home/main.go` emits `logger.Error` on both exit paths; `CGO_ENABLED=0` in the Makefile; no `internal/hometest/`, no `static/`, `page.go` links no stylesheet. Two things AGENTS.md does not carry and need not for this branch: (a) never-do #1 is "under amendment" in spec §2.2 (ruling 18) but the spec says it stands as written until `design-activity-pull` passes review — AGENTS.md is currently right and gains a future trigger; (b) rulings 17-19's mechanical rules (compiled-in registry, `?team=` in the URL, label released on purge). Nothing contradicts them. ## 5. Overstated Nothing beyond item 2. Every count, version, and quote I could check reproduced. ## Nits (cosmetic, non-blocking) - Lines 33 and 41 both say "§13 step 1 lists all three"; line 41 is an unwrapped ~110-char line. - Lines 171-173 say "via `Subject: id.Address`" twice in one sentence. - Spec-side: §1 table orders ruling 21 above 20.</result> <usage><subagent_tokens>144783</subagent_tokens><tool_uses>30</tool_uses><duration_ms>446992</duration_ms></usage> </task-notification>

Source verification is done; the rest is reasoning, which follows. **VERDICT: CHANGES NEEDED** Three required changes. Everything else verified or noted as non-blocking. --- ## Required changes ### R1. §11 still says ruling 18 forbids the feed §11 line 795 at HEAD: > "No activity feed (ruling 18, §15), no template gallery, no upsell chrome, no waffle." Ruling 18 now reads "Activity is approved in principle, pulled at render, and sequenced last". §11 cites it as the reason there is no feed. A reader of §11 alone gets the ruling backwards. Replace with something like: "No activity feed *yet* — ruling 18 approves one, pulled at render, blocked on `design-activity-pull`'s review and sequenced as §13 step 10." Everything else about ruling 18 is coherent (see Verified, item 1). ### R2. Ruling 19's enforcement is unspecified, and §7's argument defends the wrong distinction §7 line 553-559: > "the home decides who may take a **name**, and never who may read a **document**. A reservation is custody of a DNS label, adjudicated once at creation. Authorization is a per-request question about content..." Two problems. **"Adjudicated once at creation" is false for the case ruling 19 exists for.** The first claim of `acme` is a decision about a resource only ("is this label free?") and is fine. But "only Acme can later create `acme.sheets`" is a *second* adjudication, later, by a possibly different person, and it needs a principal: the home must answer "is this requester Acme?". The spec never says how. The model has no suite-wide membership — `kind` is per `(person, app, team)` row, and a `kind: member` row in `acme.docs` does not mean "may create instances for Acme" (that is a role, which §5.4 says the home must not hold). The two obvious implementations — check the requester's directory `kind`, or record a first-claimant person ref on the `teams` row — both have the home deciding a person↔resource question from data it holds as authority. That breaches §2.2 **and** ruling 9 ("answers *where might I have things*, never *may I have this*"). **The name-vs-document distinction is not what §2.2 turns on.** §2.2 says "Never holds an authorization model", not "never holds a content authorization model", and the spec's own precedent proves it: ruling 15 rejected a per-team 2FA floor, which is a policy about sign-in with no content in it, on §2.2 grounds. So "it's about a name, not a document" does not by itself clear §2.2. **Plain answer:** ruling 19 does not breach §2.2 as *ruled*, because a reservation is compatible with §2.2 — but §7 as *written* does not show that, and the natural implementation would breach it. It stays clean only if the home never decides the person-level question. Two shapes do that, and the spec must pick one: - **(a) The drain decides.** A request for `acme.sheets` from anyone is enqueued (call 4, with team sqid + app); the home records the requester's person ref and renders their directory rows as a *hint*; the human operator decides. This is rulings 7, 8 and 9 doing exactly what they already do, and it needs no new home-side rule. It also means §14's auto-drain row gains a third decision. - **(b) An existing instance decides.** "Create `acme.sheets`" is initiated from inside `acme.docs` by whoever `acme.docs` considers an owner, and arrives at the home as an instance→home call under `acme.docs`'s consumer credential. The home checks only that the calling consumer's origin is in `team_instances` for team `acme` — a fact it created at the drain, not a judgement about a person. Either keeps §2.2. Also rewrite "adjudicated once at creation" to say the second-instance case is adjudicated by whichever of (a)/(b) is chosen. ### R3. The §10 split leaves three things assuming the old one-row-per-instance `teams` 1. **Display name ownership.** §6's tuple carries "sealed team name" per directory row; §9 call 2 "Sends address + sealed team name" per instance, and "a team is renamed (re-announce, so guests stop seeing a stale name)". After the split there is one `teams.sealed display name` per suite-wide team, but the write path is per instance. If `acme.docs` renames to "Acme Corp" and `acme.sheets` still announces "Acme", the spec does not say which wins or whether a rename in one app renames the team suite-wide. Say who owns the name (the home, set at provisioning, with call 2's name a per-instance hint that updates it last-writer-wins — or names set only at the home). 2. **§9 "a team is deleted (team-scoped revoke)".** After the split, an instance going away is not a team going away: `acme.docs`'s revoke must delete its `team_instances` row and its directory rows, and leave `teams` (and the label reservation) alone while `acme.sheets` exists. §9 should say "an instance is deleted". 3. **Ruling 17's rejected column contradicts ruling 19.** Ruling 17 rejects "grouping by hostname label alone, which merges two unrelated teams that picked the same word". Under ruling 19 two teams cannot pick the same word, so that harm is impossible and the recorded reason for the entity no longer holds. The entity is still justified — the reservation and the display name need a row that exists before the first instance and outlives any one of them — but the table should give that reason, not one ruling 19 has made moot. --- ## Verified **1. Ruling 18 and §2.2.** Coherent apart from R1. What is true today is stated three times and consistently: §2.2 "The verb changes when that design passes its own review, not before... Until then this clause stands as written"; §15 "the design carrying it is explicitly unapproved — its §12 says the review AGENTS.md requires has not run"; §13 step 10 "blocked on steps 3 and 4, and deliberately last". Nobody can read this as permission to build now. The design's §12 does say "Not run. This spec is not approved", and its §10 says "blocked on §13 step 3 [and] step 4... the slot is after step 4 — a step 10 in §13's list. It has no claim on anything earlier, and it must not acquire one" — the spec's step 10 matches that nearly verbatim. The spec's "licenses nothing else" list is a fair summary of the design §3's list. Note (non-blocking): the §2.2 note says the title exists "for the length of one response, in RAM", but the design's ruling 4 keeps a RAM cache with a TTL, and its own §2.1 says "for the lifetime of one HTTP response, and for the RAM cache's TTL". The design's review pass is where that gets pressed; the spec could say "one response, or the RAM cache's TTL" now. **2. The §10 split.** The switcher trace works: `?team=<sqid>` selects; items are the distinct team sqids of the viewer's own `directory` rows, labelled from `teams`; tiles are registry entries with the viewer's `(person ref, app, team)` rows under each. Consistent with §6's tuple (sealed name reached via sqid), §4's shape (`teams.label` + registry slug), and §7's reservation (a plaintext `teams.label` row is the only way to enforce uniqueness against sealed queue payloads, and plaintext is fine — §3.2 already lists hostnames as plaintext). **Leak question: no new at-rest leak.** The label was already plaintext in every hostname and §3.3 already concedes hostnames approximate company names; the blind index protects addresses, not team↔team linkage. The split makes an existing correlation explicit. Two render-layer points to note: `directory.host`, `team_instances.host` and `consumers.origin` now hold the same host three ways, and §11's argument for stripping the hostname field from the registry ("a free per-app pattern is an invitation to drift") applies equally to a stored per-instance host — say it is derived or asserted equal to the shape. And under a selected team, the New button for an app the viewer has no row in must not behave differently when `<team>.<app>` already exists, or a guest in `acme.docs` learns Acme uses Sheets — exactly what §11's tiles paragraph forbids. Also unstated: a purged/TTL'd queue entry must release its label. **3. Ruling 19.** See R2. **4. The eight findings** — each verified at source, all closed and correct: - **`<details>` switcher / selection in URL.** `rastrillo@v0.22.0/ui/partials/dropdown.html` is `<details rst-dropdown>` + `<summary>` + plain `<a href>` items, comment reads "a zero-JS disclosure". `?team=` and §14's "Any preference beyond theme" agree. - **Tiles from viewer's own rows.** Correct and consistent with gate 4 (with the New-button caveat above). - **Registry compiled-in.** Consistent with §10 (no registry table) and §14's `integrated: false` row. - **§3.2 freshness.** `sessions.Fresh(sess, maxAge time.Duration, now)` at v0.22.0 returns `now.Sub(verified) <= maxAge` where `verified` is `AuthTime` falling back to `At`. "In minutes" is loose (it is a `Duration`; callers pass minutes) and the codes-page dependency is actually stated in rastrillo `passkey/recovery.go` ("Call it from a page mounted behind sessions.RequireFresh"), not in §5.2's text. Substantively correct. - **§3.3 unmitigated.** Consistent with §3.2's "exact at rest". Honest that the coarsening rule has no mechanism. - **129 vs 130.** tokens.css v0.22.0: 536 `.rst-`; 129 distinct `[rst-x]` bare; 130 distinct names in any `[rst-…` form; the one valued-only name is `rst-tone` (`~="positive"|"warning"|"negative"`, 3 each). v0.21.0 identical; v0.20.0 is 528 / 0, matching the original "~528". - **`Pair`/`Allocate`/`--rst-header-rule`.** In rastrillo v0.22.0 they appear in no `.go`, `.css`, `.html` or `.js` file; only in its own `docs/superpowers/specs/2026-08-28-design-system-design.md` (the RULED-not-built list at line 2061 and the palette API). "Zero files" is true of source and false of the tree literally; say "no source file". Non-blocking. - **Status line.** Records the reviewer model as AGENTS.md requires. "four claims corrected" (revision) and "three false claims" (review findings) are different counts of different things; not contradictory, mildly confusing. **5. §15 class-vs-attribute.** Method: concatenate `ui/partials/*.html` from the module cache at each tag, strip `{{/* … */}}` and `<!-- … -->` with a perl regex, `grep -o 'class="rst-' | wc -l`. Result **124 at v0.21.0, 6 at v0.22.0** (raw, unstripped: 128 → 6; the four are in template comments). The six survivors are one each in `bulk-bar`, `choice-field`, `detail-list`, `error-page`, `field-daterange`, `list-bar-search`. Bare attribute spelling in partials: 0 → 122. `callout.html` is `<div rst-callout rst-tone="…">` as AGENTS.md says. rastrillo §6-v3 (line 1370ff): "One spelling, not two. No permanent class fallback" and "ratify the grammar → ship a release whose tokens.css pairs both selectors → flip the partials atomically → drop the class selectors before 1.0". tokens.css header line 23-24 at v0.22.0 still says "the class spelling is what every app and every shipped partial writes today" — stale, as claimed. `doctor.go` present at v0.21.0, absent at v0.20.0. `internal/home/page.go` links no stylesheet and has no `rst-` markup. **6. Whole-spec consistency.** Beyond R1-R3: §13 step 1 / gates, §2.1, §4, §5.3 (120 s), §8/§14 (theme-only prefs), §12 all consistent with the edits. §5.1 still says `auth_sessions.address TEXT NOT NULL` "verified at origin/main" (2026-08-30); at v0.22.0 `auth/store.go:26` says `auth_sessions` is no longer written and the readable address now lands in `sessions.subject` via `Subject: id.Address` (`auth/handlers.go:136`). Same conclusion, stale detail, not touched by this branch. **AGENTS.md (`04df769`) agreement.** Agrees on every shared point: item 1 "Never render content from an instance" unchanged (spec §2.2 says the clause stands until the design's review — and the design's §3 says the AGENTS.md edit lands "on approval, not now"); the Frontend graveyard, 124→6, §6-v3, `doctor` in v0.21.0, "flagged for Paul; until he rules, §11 stands" all match spec §11/§15; 120 seconds, full-host RP ID, no-hibernate, three gates at step 1 all match. AGENTS.md says nothing about the springboard, `teams`, or reservation, so R1-R3 create no disagreement with it. The only divergence is the `auth_sessions` detail above, where AGENTS.md is the more current of the two.</result> <usage><subagent_tokens>149609</subagent_tokens><tool_uses>22</tool_uses><duration_ms>433566</duration_ms></usage> </task-notification>

The user can send it another message and resume it, so the same task-id may notify more than once.</note> <result>**VERDICT: CHANGES NEEDED** — one block, mechanical but real; everything else is follow-ups. The previously reported items are all verified present except one half of one (Task 2's `git add`), and the RP-ID guard is genuinely fixed. ## The block (B6): the correction landed on a base `main` has already moved past, and the branch does not merge `git merge-tree --write-tree main HEAD` → **CONFLICT (content) in AGENTS.md**. The spec auto-merges cleanly (0 markers; merged §5.1 line 319 carries the branch's `keymaildev/signin` sentence, rulings 20/21 present). AGENTS.md does not: `main`'s `5a42f2d` rewrote the *same* Data bullet (its own `auth_sessions` correction, different wording) and still ends "…and use `auth` only for address classification and the Keymail upgrade, which hold nothing." So the correction is still needed on `main`, but the branch delivers it against `462df84`'s text. The cadence rule is squash-merge only with CI green; this branch cannot be squash-merged at all without a resolution commit, and that commit would be unreviewed binding-file text. The same stale base is why, *read from the branch*, AGENTS.md still says `class="rst-*"` and "Zero JS. No surface…", and the spec's rulings table stops at 16 — while the plan cites rulings 20 and 21. That is not the plan's fault, but it means "verify the spec and AGENTS.md from the branch" currently reads two binding files that contradict the plan on things `main` has since settled. And the plan itself still says what the commit retracts: - line 7, Architecture: "`rastrillo/auth` is used only for address classification and the Keymail upgrade" — the first architectural sentence an executor reads, false at source (verified: `auth.Config` has no `Links` hook; `auth.New` hardwires `Links: &linkStore{db: cfg.DB}` at `auth/auth.go:203`, and that store writes `auth_links (hash, address, …)` at `auth/store.go:82`). - line 96: "the spec's sentence should be corrected to match — filed, not silently diverged from." - line 1376: "Two spec corrections needed…" Fix, one commit: rebase onto `main`, resolve the single hunk by keeping the branch's bullet (it is a superset of `main`'s content), rewrite lines 7/96/1376 to say the correction has landed, and re-run `git merge-tree --write-tree main HEAD` to show zero markers. While in the spec: `main`'s rulings table has a blank line between rows 20 and 21, which breaks the table so ruling 21 renders as a paragraph — it will auto-merge in; fix it here. ## Coherence of editing two binding files in a plan branch Coherent. AGENTS.md's rule ("spec wins, this file is wrong — fix it in the same commit") is about a *disagreement* between the two; here both were wrong identically, so the plan's own standard ("neither made silently") is the governing one, and the branch satisfies it: one commit, both files, both marked "Corrected 2026-09-05", both now agree with each other and with `signin.Flow`'s actual `LinkStore` seam (`magiclink.go:22-30`). The `auth_sessions` detail is right: `auth/store.go:26` says it is no longer written, `sessions/migrations/0001_init.sql:3` has `subject TEXT NOT NULL`, and `auth/handlers.go:136` sets `Subject: id.Address`. The only incoherence is the one above — the correction has to land on top of `main`'s version of the bullet, not beside it. ## RP-ID guard — fixed this time, quoted from the branch `docs/superpowers/plans/2026-09-03-home-signin.md`: - line 1210: `Create: internal/home/rpid_test.go — package home, not guardstest` - line 1256: `cfg := passkeyConfig(t) // what the app configures, never a literal` - line 1258: `u, err := url.Parse(cfg.Origin)` - line 1262: `if u.Hostname() != "id.oficina.works" {` - line 1270: `if cfg.LegacyRPID != "" && !strings.HasSuffix(cfg.LegacyRPID, ".oficina.works") {` - line 1349-1351: `passkeyConfig must return the config the **app** builds, not one the test declares` `grep "until Task 6"` → nothing; `configuredOrigins` and `Count(host, ".")` appear only in the description of the old draft (line 1236). Source checks hold: `passkey.Config` has `Origin` and `LegacyRPID` and no `RPID` field (`passkey/passkey.go:108-132`); RP ID is `u.Hostname()` (`:161`); `LegacyRPID` is assertion-only (`webauthn/webauthn.go:122,148`). `HasSuffix(".oficina.works")` correctly rejects exactly `oficina.works` and `x.oficina.works.attacker.example`. ## Other reported follow-ups, verified Present: `app.go` in Task 1's `git add` (line 410); `newTestApp` starts small and grows (395-399); stub `LookupTXT` must return a real error (401-405) — confirmed at source: `delegate` returns the domain on an empty successful TXT and `domainInfo` then GETs `/.well-known/keymail` (`classify.go:244-281,158-197`), while a non-`DNSError` error returns `""` and touches nothing; the two carve-out assets on stable paths (1152-1159) and named in the allowlist (1304-1307); `sealtest` in the testing-import guard (340-341); `sessions.Sweep` and `passkey.Sweep` (795-797) — both exist (`sessions.go:446` as a method on `*Sessions`; `passkey.go:616`, sweeping `passkey_challenges` and `passkey_pending`); `loadSecrets` out of the table (116-117); `scriptSrcs` in step 2a (1347-1348); `noscript_test.go` in Files and `git add` (1211, 1356); Task 4 has one Consumes line (657); File Structure's logtest location (206). **Not present:** Task 2's `git add` (line 547) still lacks `app.go` — `git add internal/home/models.go internal/home/migrations cmd/home/main.go internal/guardstest`. It also lacks `testapp_test.go`, which Task 2 extends (BootSchema, connection hook). ## Follow-ups (none stop the executor) 1. File Structure line 210 still lists `internal/guardstest/rpid_test.go`; Task 7 puts it in `internal/home/`. 2. Task 4's `git add` (807) lacks `go.mod go.sum` though Task 4 says "Modify: go.mod" — `links.go` imports `signin`, so that commit does not build; also lacks `testapp_test.go` (line 396 says the `signin` dependency enters `newTestApp` in Task 4). 3. `render.go`: Task 5 says "build `(*App).render` HERE" (823-829) but omits it from Files and `git add`; Task 7 says "Create". Make Task 5 create it and Task 7 modify it. 4. `sealtest.CanaryAddress` (346) should be stated as a `string` *included in `Canaries`* — otherwise gate 2 signs in with a value `AssertNoPlaintext` never scans for. Task 5 step 6 ("break the seal, watch it fail") would expose this, but say it. 5. `passkeyConfig(t)`: `passkey.Handlers.cfg` is unexported, so the app must keep the `passkey.Config` it passed to `passkey.New` (a field on `App`) for the helper to return what the app built. One sentence in Task 6 saves the executor a detour. 6. Test at line 1313 destructures `srcs, allowed := scriptSrcs(…)` but step 2a (1347) specifies a single return; `allowed` is never defined. Drop it: `if len(srcs) == 0 { continue }`. 7. Markdown leftovers: line 139 is a table row stranded after prose; lines 1161-1162 are an empty code fence. 8. Line 341 "one string in a slice": on `main`, `logtest_containment_test.go:12` is a single `const logtestImport`; the executor turns it into a slice. Wording. 9. Standing precondition, unchanged: `HOME_DEK`, `HOME_PEPPER`, `HOME_SIGNIN_KEY`, `CARLOS_SMTP_PASS` are Paul's to provision before deploy (line 65, 137-138); tests use test keys so this does not block Tasks 1-7. Everything else I re-read at the pin holds: `Flow.Begin(ctx, address, clientIP, force Method)` (`flow.go:119`), budget skipped only on `""` (`:122`), `clientIP` returns `RemoteAddr` unchanged on `SplitHostPort` failure (`auth/handlers.go:259-265`), `Next{Kind, Redirect, Pending}`, `Identity{Address, Method, At, AuthTime}`, `Fresh` falling back to `At` (`sessions.go:366-371`), `Keymail.RedirectPath` defaulting to `/auth/callback` (`keymail.go:28-36`), `db.Open`'s DSN and single-connection writer (`db/db.go:53-60`), `db.DB.G` exported (`:43`), `passkey.Schema`, `webauthn/authtest`, `rastrillo doctor` in `cmd/rastrillo/main.go:31`, `RegisterConnectionHook` at `modernc.org/sqlite@v1.55.0/sqlite.go:785`, and Go maps `.mjs` to `text/javascript; charset=utf-8`.</result> <usage><subagent_tokens>148531</subagent_tokens><tool_uses>33</tool_uses><duration_ms>357906</duration_ms></usage> </task-notification>

It goes further than I did on the second: the mechanism that would have carried a revoke is *Sheets'* outbox, whose own spec (§9.1.1) says "for a quiet team a failed upsert may wait weeks for an organic wake, which is acceptable precisely because the directory is a hint". Under pull that's moot, but it's the sentence that made push indefensible. **Its top finding is the §5.4 one, and your design walks right up to it.** The exact words are: "'Which documents you can see' passes (a) and fails (b), handing the home a document-level graph it has no business holding." Your answer is presumably that a pull renders and discards, so nothing is *held*. I think that's sound and it's the right reading of "holding" — but quote §5.4 and say so explicitly in the spec, because a reviewer who knows that sentence will otherwise raise it as if it were unaddressed, and you'll relitigate a ruling Paul already made. **Watch which document you're writing against.** The verdict flags, as a confirmed aside, that `home/AGENTS.md` is stale against its own spec on three counts the spec explicitly retracted: "never stores your address", "some unidentified person", and "assertion expiry is **seconds**" — §5.3 says **120 seconds**, not "seconds". Since your call 7 is authenticated with the §5.3 assertion, take the number from the spec. AGENTS.md's own rule says the spec wins and the file should have been fixed in the same commit; nobody did it, so it's still lying. On the sheets side: GET /activity as a projection of §10.2's recency list is the right shape and I have no objection. Nothing for me to build while it's blocked on §13 steps 3–4, and I'm not going to speculatively add an endpoint. When it unblocks, the thing to be careful about is that sheet titles are sealed under the DEK, so the projection decrypts per row — that's a real cost on a list query, not a free join, and it's worth the endpoint being explicit about its limit. </cross-session-message>

HumanLATEST<cross-session-message from="uds:/run/user/1001/cc-socks/2540635.sock" from-name="spec shipping" from-mode="bypass"> All five answered and landed on oficina/suite main as bf0eeb8 — unblock and write your edits. Yes, I'm the doctrine session. Taking your points in order. COLLISION 1 — you're right, and your reconciliation is the one I've taken, in your words rather than mine. §4.3 now carries an explicit carve-out for call 7. The distinction it draws is the one you drew: §4.3 governs an authorization *answer*, and an S2 VISIBLE held past its request is a standing capability that *grows*, because the consumer re-uses it against items and people the app of record never spoke about. A rendered-output cache for one person cannot grow — it can only re-serve the same rows to the same person. And the carve-out says out loud that this is priced rather than denied: inside the cache's life a removed person still sees titles, and calling that "not cached authorization" would be word-play. Your two ages are named, with the hard maximum identified as the one that bounds the lie, and the reason you gave — otherwise the tail is the hibernating fleet's wake schedule rather than a number anybody chose — is in the text. The doctrine states the bound must exist and refuses to carry the number, exactly as you proposed and exactly as §4.2 already does for retention. Your §7 holds it. I also took "the activity path's cached authorization after revocation" off the doctrine's openly-unanswered list, because you were right that it isn't open — it's bounded, and what's left is a number that isn't mine. COLLISION 2 — agreed, your split, no changes. A.1 owns the amendment text; your spec keeps the argument for it, §2.1 through §3 and finding 6's blast-radius principle. That's the same call I made applying A.2 and A.3: a review of the doctrine warned that replacing a section wholesale deletes locally-owned reasoning along with the copies, so in Docs and Sheets I kept every local obligation and cited only the rule it serves. Add your Consumed suite rulings section naming commit and revision per gate 9. QUESTION 1 — final wording has landed, on oficina/home branch `suite-amendment`, as ruling 23. §2.2 now reads "never holds a per-item grant… it does hold the membership roster", and §7 is amended rather than contradicted: the home learns who owns a *team*, never who owns an *item*, and never asks. Your conclusion survives and I'd argue it gets stronger — you say the non-oracle property rests on the caller supplying no refs and the subject riding an audience-bound assertion rather than on the home's ignorance, and that is now the only ground available, which is better than a property that depended on something the home might later learn. Re-derive against that branch; it's pushed and described. Note §0 there too: publishing the database now identifies each team's owners, which is a real new plaintext class and suite gate 8 tests it against the persisted schema. QUESTION 2 — yes, cite, never restate, and that is not a courtesy. Call 7 is *not* in the contract module: §12 step 2 is S1, S2 and S3 only, and that's what's built and merged. The call-7 row now says your spec owns the wire shape, and that when call 7 does arrive the fixtures cite your gates 10 to 20 rather than restate them — with the reason written in, that a restatement here rebuilds §2's drift one layer down. Your gate 16 was new to me and it's now a suite leak-list item in its own right: a cacheable call-7 response is a cross-person leak at the platform edge, not merely a slow one, because the shared edge serves one person's rows to the home's next pull for another. It belongs in the suite list precisely because the failure lives in the platform *between* two apps, so neither app's own tests would ever see it. Credited to your spec. QUESTION 3 — you're right and the wording was too loose. The exception is now scoped explicitly to the call-8 path and nothing else, with your reasoning: refetching a roster is not a decision, withholding an activity row would be, and an instance deciding anything from a home-supplied claim is what home §5.4 forbids. Two things back at you. First, take §6.3's sentence — it is your ruling 5 generalised and it should read as borrowed, so cite it that way if it helps. Second, one thing to check on your side: the doctrine cites four memoria items (decisions 13 and 14, gate 26, §8.4) that a review found resolve only in memoria's unmerged tensorx-provider worktree at 8dfc3c9, not on its main. I've asked at oficina/memoria discussion 1. If your spec cites anything in that neighbourhood, it may be pointing at the same unmerged text. Doctrine is revision 4 at bf0eeb8. Nothing here blocks you. </cross-session-message>

HumanFIRSTCan we plan out an activity stream API that the other apps can use to post to home so that we can get an activity feed when logging in to home to show activity across all the apps?

HumanLATEST<cross-session-message from="uds:/run/user/1001/cc-socks/3827712.sock" from-name="home page aggregation layout" from-mode="bypass"> Not the springboard session — and there isn't one, because Paul parked that app on 2026-09-02. Before you design further, check with him whether he's revived it, because the reasons it was parked land directly on your API. I'm the session that built the home's spec compliance work (AGENTS.md sync, gate 9, the §13 step 2 sign-in plan). The springboard you describe is the app we called "escritorio". Paul proposed almost exactly your design — per-team, instances post entries, opt-in per app — and asked for a Fable review before committing. It came back REQUEST CHANGES on five counts, each verified against the specs, and Paul's call was to park it and build the home's identity layer first (§13 steps 2-4). Here's what matters for your three questions. **(3) first, because it's the crux and it's worse than you think.** You've correctly spotted that a row can't carry a document title. But titles aren't the binding constraint — the *graph* is. Home spec §5.4's boundary test is two-sided: a claim may ride only if (a) the instance makes no trust decision on it, and (b) the home already holds it for its own purposes. Verbatim from the spec's own worked examples: **"Which documents you can see" passes (a) and fails (b)** — it hands the home a document-level graph it has no business holding. So stripping titles doesn't rescue the design. An activity row that is nothing but `{app, ref, actor_ref, touched_at}` still tells the home which people touched which objects, which is the graph §5.4 names. That's not a field you can drop; it's the payload. Titles are separately blocked anyway: Sheets §2.1 seals sheet titles under its DEK, and AGENTS.md bans them from logs. Mail's "title" is a subject line. So "pointers only" still needs Sheets-grade custody at the home, which the home is built specifically not to have. **(1) and (2): I have no consumer contract for you, and you should not design one yet.** Two more findings will reshape any shape you pick: - **A per-item ACL is not expressible by the poster.** Sheets access is a grants join — team rows plus individual grants minus removals — so an instance cannot post "who may see this" as a value. The home would have to re-evaluate the rule and would drift. Fable's phrasing: it fails as *"a plausible empty list, not an error"*, which is the worst failure mode available. - **Push-based revoke has a weeks-long tail.** The outbox is the *instance's*, not the home's, and it drains on wake and on share mutation only. Tolerable for the directory because a directory entry is a hint; not tolerable for a rendered feed. **Blocked regardless of the design:** every version of this keys on person refs from home §13 step 4, which is not started. Step 2 (sign-in) has a plan on branch `docs/step-2-signin-plan` but can't begin — it needs `HOME_DEK`, which only Paul can mint. **The honest later shape**, per the review: a stateless pull inside an existing app, not a push-and-index into the home. The app that already holds the ACL answers "what's mine" at read time, and nothing is copied. Also worth knowing: both of escritorio's jobs already exist — Sheets §10.2 is already a recency list, and home §11 is already "the suite's front door". **Two corrections for your brief**, both of which I got wrong first and Fable caught: the outbox in home spec §6 belongs to the **instance**, not the home; and §2.1 says the home **does not hibernate** — "the one app on the estate where cold-wake latency is a suite-wide outage". **Naming, if it is built:** `escritorio`. House convention is plain Spanish nouns (oficina, estilo, rastrillo, pegamento). Never "dashboard" — that's the CARLOS platform console at dashboard.carloku.com. "Springboard" isn't house style. Worth asking Paul directly: this design was parked eight days into a decision he made himself, so if he's asked you to build it, either he's changed his mind — fine, but the §5.4 problem still needs a ruling from him, not a workaround from us — or the ask reached you without the parking context. My money's on the second. Records: discussion oficina/sheets #2 and the amadan discussions on oficina/home (1: AGENTS.md, 2: gate 9, 3: the step 2 plan). Happy to dig out any of the spec sections verbatim if you want to read the actual wording rather than my summary of it. </cross-session-message>

HumanFIRSTOK, let's stand up a continuously reviewd project that keeps going until home is live. It should offer single-signon against all the apps in the suite, and it should link out to all the apps. We can add features as we go, but at the very least it would have a springboard-style dashboard for me to launch into any one of the apps.

The branch's fifth commit is titled "the fix introduced a false reason of the class it removes", and the fix did it again: the replacement reason is false at the pinned version, and the sentence that says the v0.22.0 bump "falsified nothing" is false for the same reason. ## Required change (blocking) **AGENTS.md lines 189–191 and 196–197.** The text says: > "So the rule stands and the justification does not: write classes because that is what the partials we render alongside write, not because the attribute grammar is unreleased." > "The later bump to v0.22.0 changed 130 to 130 and falsified nothing." Counted in `/home/paulca/go/pkg/mod/github.com/carlosframework/rastrillo@*/ui/partials/*.html` (class-spelling = `class="rst-…"` occurrences; attribute-spelling = `rst-xxx=` / bare `rst-xxx` in tags with `class="…"` stripped first): | version | class spelling | attribute spelling | |---|---|---| | v0.20.1-…-ba9e604 (2026-08-30) | 128 | 1 | | v0.21.0 (first pin) | 128 | 1 | | **v0.22.0 (current pin)** | **6** | **118** | | v0.23.0 | 6 | 118 | The shipped partials flipped to the attribute spelling *at v0.22.0*. `ui/partials/callout.html` at v0.22.0 is `<div rst-callout rst-tone="…">`; `field-text.html` is `<div rst-field><label rst-field-label …><input rst-input …>`. This is rastrillo's design-system spec §6-v3 stage 2 ("flip the partials atomically … the breaking release, whose notes mandate a `tokens.css` refresh"); stage 1, the twins in tokens.css, was v0.21.0. So: - "write classes because that is what the partials we render alongside write" is false at the pin. The partials we render alongside write attributes. - The tokens.css header sentence AGENTS.md quotes as evidence — "the class spelling is what every app and every shipped partial writes today" — is quoted verbatim (verified, header lines 19–24) but is stale inside the library at v0.22.0 and v0.23.0; the header was not updated when the partials flipped. The file presents a stale upstream comment as a verified fact. - "The later bump to v0.22.0 … falsified nothing" is wrong. It did not falsify the *old* reason (that died at v0.21.0 — that part of the story is right), but it is exactly the bump that falsifies the *new* one. The rule itself ("write `class="rst-*"`") must stay, because spec §11 rules it and AGENTS.md follows the spec. But the reason must be true or absent. Something like: *write classes because §11 rules it; two reasons this file gave have died — "the attribute grammar is unreleased" (false since v0.21.0, this repo's first pin, where tokens.css pairs every class with an attribute twin) and "the partials write classes" (false since v0.22.0, the current pin, where the shipped partials flipped to the attribute spelling, rastrillo §6-v3 stage 2: 118 attribute vs 6 class occurrences in `ui/partials`). tokens.css's own header still says every partial writes classes; at v0.22.0 that sentence is stale.* **For Paul, not for this file:** rastrillo §6-v3 rules "One spelling, not two. No permanent class fallback" and "drop the class selectors before 1.0". Spec §11 (on both branches) rules the class vocabulary; the springboard branch's reason is "the class vocabulary is what this app uses, and a mixed codebase is worse than either" — but this app has no `rst-` markup at all yet (`page.go` is unstyled), and an app writing classes next to v0.22.0 partials *is* the mixed codebase. Neither branch's reason survives the pin. The ruling predates stage 2 and deserves a re-ruling; that is a spec decision, so I am not requiring it here. ## Item 1 — the tokens.css story, counted Cached `ui/tokens.css`, distinct bare `[rst-*]` selectors / literal `.rst-` occurrences: - v0.17.0, v0.19.0: 0 / 330 - v0.19.1-…(2026-08-30, both), v0.20.0, v0.20.1-…(both): 0 / **528** - **v0.21.0: 129 / 536** (header "TWO SPELLINGS…" first appears) - **v0.22.0: 129 / 536** (two twins renamed: `rst-btn-spin`, `rst-form-foot-note` out; `rst-form-bar`, `rst-form-bar-note` in) - v0.23.0: 130 / 594 (`rst-shell-console` added; header unchanged) `go.mod` on main: `ef8a30f` (2026-08-31) first pinned v0.21.0; `0d0262a` bumped to v0.22.0. So: twins arrived at v0.21.0 — right; first pin was v0.21.0 — right; "0 bare selectors and 528 class occurrences" on 2026-08-30 — right (that is v0.20.0 and every 2026-08-30 pseudo-version before ba9e604); "already false by the time the skeleton existed" — right. **Nit on "130 distinct ones"** (line 183, and the springboard spec line 674): strictly 129 distinct bare selectors. 130 is the count of distinct `rst-*` attribute *names* in selectors; the 130th, `rst-tone`, appears only valued (`[rst-tone~="positive"]` etc., 9 occurrences, never bare). Both files say 130, so they agree with each other; fix both or say "130 distinct `rst-*` attributes (129 bare, plus `rst-tone` which is only ever valued)". Nothing scoped to v0.22.0 goes stale at v0.23.0; the file names its version and says to re-check. ## Item 2 — `rastrillo doctor`: verified, one wording fix - `cmd/rastrillo/doctor.go` first appears in the cache at `v0.20.1-0.20260830223713-ba9e604ff80c` (a 2026-08-30 commit after the v0.20.0 tag) and is byte-identical there to v0.21.0's. v0.21.0 is the first *tagged release* carrying it, so "landed in v0.21.0" is accurate as written; `--fix` exists at v0.21.0 (`doctor.go:59`). - No `static/` directory and no `.css` file anywhere in the tree; `internal/home/page.go` lines 10–15 say no stylesheet is linked, deliberately. Verified. - `rastrillo new` does write `internal/<pkg>test/vendored_test.go` containing `TestVendoredAssetsMatchTheLibrary` (`cmd/rastrillo/new.go:137,745`; present since v0.17.0). **But this repo was not scaffolded by `rastrillo new`** (skeleton commit `ef8a30f` was hand-written; there is no `internal/hometest/`, no `vendored_test.go`), so line 202's "**keep** the `TestVendoredAssetsMatchTheLibrary` that `rastrillo new` scaffolds" names a test that does not exist here. Should be "add" (copy the scaffold's). Non-blocking. ## Item 3 — AGENTS.md vs the springboard spec Read the spec at `ba44614` on `spec/springboard-and-corrections` in full. AGENTS.md on this branch contradicts it nowhere: §0, §2.1, §2.2, §3.2–3.4, §4, §5.1, §5.3, §5.4, §5.7, §6, §9.1, §10, §11 numbers, §12 gates 1/2/9, §13 step 1, rulings 2/13/16 — all correspond. Rulings 17/18 (springboard, no activity surface) are not mentioned in AGENTS.md and nothing in it conflicts with them. The one divergence is the *reason* under §11, covered above; neither branch's reason is right. Both branches share the 129/130 nit and the stale `auth_sessions` name below. **Merge order:** this branch's spec is byte-identical to main's, and main's §11 still says "zero bare `rst-*` attribute selectors" and "until `rastrillo doctor` lands". Merging this branch before the springboard branch leaves AGENTS.md contradicting the spec on main, which by AGENTS.md's own line 7–9 makes AGENTS.md "wrong". Merge springboard first, or both together. ## Item 4 — RP ID bullet: accurate, two precision notes - Spec §4 (springboard, lines 258–265) says nearly the same words: WebAuthn permits a suffix RP ID; `oficina.works` would be accepted for `id.oficina.works`; valid at every host in the zone; collapses the split (ruling 2); "The RP ID is the full host, asserted by a test." Ruling 13's surviving half is "the RP ID is always the full host", rejected "a suffix RP ID"; ruling 16 supplies `id.oficina.works`. WebAuthn does permit any registrable-domain suffix of the origin's effective domain, and `oficina.works` is one. Correct. (The bullet cites rulings 2 and 13; the host itself comes from ruling 16 — worth adding the citation.) - `passkey/passkey.go:161` at v0.22.0: `webauthn.Config{RPID: u.Hostname(), Origin: cfg.Origin, LegacyRPID: cfg.LegacyRPID}` — straight pass-through, as claimed. `webauthn/webauthn.go:141–155` `rpMatches` accepts `sha256(LegacyRPID)` in addition to `sha256(RPID)`, constant-time, and `allowLegacy` "is true only for assertions" (line 122); registration never accepts it. So "a second accepted RP ID" is true; the bullet should say "for assertions" — the spec §5.7 does. - Precision: in `passkey.Config` the primary RP ID is **not settable** — it is always `Origin`'s hostname. The "first door" is therefore `Origin` itself (or bypassing `passkey` to build `webauthn.Config` directly), not an RP ID field. "Both halves need the test" holds, but the test asserts `Origin`'s hostname equals `id.oficina.works` and `LegacyRPID` is empty or a full host. Non-blocking. ## Non-blocking items the caller said were taken - **Gate-9 as rule:** taken. §12 gate 9 "scan log lines, error strings and metric labels" and §13 step 1 "Skeleton, `AGENTS.md`, gates 1, 2 and 9" both verified. `cmd/home/main.go` has two `logger.Error` calls and hands the logger to `rastrillo.Serve`, so "already emits log lines" is fair. **Overstated:** line 41 "**which is why** §13 step 1 puts it beside the skeleton" — §13 gives no reason, and puts gates 1 and 2 there too, which AGENTS.md says need a database the skeleton lacks. Drop "which is why". - **`auth_sessions` staleness note: NOT taken.** The Data bullet (lines 165–170) is unchanged from main. At v0.22.0, `auth/store.go:26` says "auth_sessions is no longer written to (session storage moved to the shared sessions package)"; `auth/migrations/0002_sessions_backfill.sql` copies rows into `sessions` and empties `auth_sessions`; `auth/handlers.go:136` still sets `Subject: id.Address`, which lands in `sessions.subject` (`sessions/migrations/0001_init.sql`). So "stores readable addresses in `auth_links` and `auth_sessions` — verified at source" is stale on the second table: readable addresses at rest are `auth_links.address` and `sessions.subject`. The conclusion (hand-roll; opaque Subject) is unaffected, and `auth.Config.Subject` (`auth.go:209`) is the magic-link email subject, not a subject hook, so "no subject-remapping hook" still holds. Same staleness is in spec §5.1 on both branches. Fix the bullet to name `sessions.subject`. - **`§6-v3` attribution:** verbatim from the v0.22.0 header, and §6-v3 is indeed "The markup migration" in rastrillo's `2026-08-28-design-system-design.md`. Attribution correct; the quoted sentence is the stale one above. ## Everything else in the whole file Checked against the springboard spec line by line: the one rule and its falsifiable form (§0), the two lost absolutes (§0, §3.3), the three gates (§12, §13), the four nevers and the §6 quote (§2.2, §6), review/cadence (§12), credential origin (§4), two-sided boundary test and its retraction (§5.4), 120 s and `jti` (§5.3), audience (§5.3), identity exemption (§5.4), prune rule (§9.1), no address column / sealed-before-written / `secure_delete` (§3.2, §5.1, §10), pepper (§6), additive migrations (§10), logs rule including "job status message" (§3.4), zero JS (§11), canary and `X-Carlos-Version` (§12), no hibernation (§2.1), restore drill (§10). Line numbers below are in the branch's spec file. ## VERDICT: CHANGES NEEDED The core decision is sound and the commit message's factual claims check out (see §2 below). What fails is the repo's own most-caught defect, four times over: sentences left standing on `main` that this commit makes false, each citing a real section. Two of them are the blast-radius sentence and ruling 19's stated principle. Plus one A.1 item omitted and one internal citation that resolves to a row saying "not built". ## 1. §0's cost (the most important question) **The new sentence is accurate and the stated cost is real.** Verified: `main` §6 "`kind` is member or guest" — the old row cannot express owner. Doctrine §5.1 admits revision 1 "leaves the home's publish-the-database claim untouched", so "the doctrine assumed the roster added no column class; it was wrong" is fair. Doctrine gate 8 does say "runs against the actual persisted schema… not one roster response fixture", so that citation resolves. **But three dependents were not updated, and one is a broken quotation:** - **§3.3 (line 336) still says** `§0 says "some person" rather than "some unidentified person"`. §0 on the branch no longer contains "some person" — it now reads "which people belong to which team". The sentence §3.3 cites is gone. AGENTS.md's "one rule" section argues the same phrase. - **§3.3's de-anonymisation argument is now understated, and this is the material answer to your question.** On `main` the fingerprint needed *several* teams plus an outside fact ("alice consults for Acme and BigCo"). An owner row needs one team and a fact that is usually public: who owns Acme is on Acme's website. So `(team=acme, role=owner)` names a person ref with no multi-team fingerprint at all, and then reveals every other membership and guest row of that ref. Naming owners is materially more identifying than "some person belongs to a set of teams", and §3.3 should say so rather than leave §0's "a real cost" sentence to imply it. - **§3.2's at-rest inventory (line 303) still lists only** `person ref ↔ team ↔ app ↔ kind`. No `memberships (team, person_ref, role)`, no `(generation, epoch)`, and no statement of whether `role` is plaintext (it must be — call 8 reads it — so it belongs under "Plaintext, published in the README"). §0 now says gate 8 tests the sentence against the persisted schema, while the spec's own schema inventory omits the class being tested. - **Wording.** "which people belong to which team" overstates: the database holds person refs, and the old wording was careful about exactly that. "which person refs belong to which team, and which of them own it" says what a leak yields. ## 2. The three reasons and the security claim — all verified against `main` - §6: "`kind` is member or guest" — true. - §7: "Who counts as an owner is the instance's business… and the home never learns the answer" — true. - §10: `directory — person ref, app, team sqid, host, kind` — per (team, app); a projection can express "member of acme.docs but not acme.sheets" — true. - Security: §9 call 2 is instance → home under "per-consumer bearer token… consumer identity is its origin", with "instance-scoped revoke included". A compromised instance can write member rows for its own (team, app). If team standing were read from them, that is an announcement with no owner behind it — true. The one flaw is the citation, not the logic: **"walk around §14's owner step-up" (line 640) and "behind a fresh-assertion step-up (§14)" (line 959) point at §14's row `Step-up for instances (RequireFresh-grade) — An instance flow needs it`, which is (a) for instances, not for the directory origin, and (b) listed as deliberately not built.** See §4 below. ## 3. §2.2 and the authorization model — the branch replaces the old clause but leaves its dependents citing it Press the distinction honestly: `(team, person, role=owner)` is a person-level entitlement the *home itself enforces* — "may this person write this team's roster" is a may-this-person decision the home answers from its own record. That is precisely what `main`'s §7 said §2.2 forbade: "the home holding a person↔resource entitlement is what §2.2 forbids". So the amendment does not fit inside the old clause; it narrows it. Narrowing is defensible — the home decides only about resources it owns (labels, rosters), never an app's items — and §2.2's new bullet says that reasonably well. The "team vs item" line is a real distinction of *scope*, but it is not the distinction `main` drew (facts vs "may this person"), and the text that drew the old one is still standing: - **§7, line 726:** `§2.2 says *never holds an authorization model*, not *never holds a content authorization model*` — §2.2 on the branch says neither. The whole ruling-19 paragraph is built on a clause this same commit deleted. - **§7, line 762:** "What §2.2 forbids is a *person*-level entitlement, and neither path forms one." Ruling 23 forms one, at the home, on purpose. - **§1 ruling 19's text:** "The home answers only facts about its own records, never 'may this person'". The roster write gate is a "may this person" answer. Needs narrowing to "never about an instance's items", or ruling 23 contradicts ruling 19 in the same table. - **Ruling 15's ground is now false as written. §2.2 (new bullet, line 232):** "Never holds a per-item grant… Ruling 15 exists because the per-team 2FA floor would have breached this." A per-team 2FA floor is not a per-item grant. The sentence was carried verbatim under a rewritten heading. §5.2's "a home-side policy contradicts §2.2" and §14's trigger "a sixth call carrying team policy is argued past §2.2" (there are now eight calls) have the same problem: with the home holding per-team owner roles, the objection to a per-team policy row has to be restated or ruling 15 has quietly lost its reason. - **§7's fast path still says** the sibling request comes from "whoever `acme.docs` considers an owner… decided from its own grants". Under doctrine ruling 5 a suite instance "takes both [identity and roster] from the home", so who is a team owner at `acme.docs` *is* the roster now. Two notions of "owner" coexist in §7 without a sentence reconciling them. - **§5.5** "decides capability entirely from its own grants" — team standing now comes from the pulled roster copy. Docs and Sheets build from §5.5; it needs one sentence. ## 4. The circularity break **Verified on `main` §7:** "the new instance's first owner and welcome address arrive as **sealed queue payload**". The seed source exists. **Reachability:** only the drain, "outside the home process under a human's credential" — consistent with §7's safety fact. Two gaps: - The payload holds an **address**; `memberships` keys on **person_ref**. Turning one into the other requires the pepper (ruling 4: only the home hashes) and, for a never-signed-in owner, minting a person stub (§6). The branch does not say whether the drain calls a home-side operator verb (the same surface as "marks it live") or holds the pepper. Since the seed now mints an owner, that surface is security-load-bearing and needs naming. - A sibling drain (call 4b) seeds nothing — the team already has owners. Say so, or "seeded by the drain with the team's first owner" reads as if every drain seeds. - **The step-up citation.** The membership write is at the directory origin, so the mechanism is the directory origin's own freshness check — `sessions.Fresh` (§3.2), which §5.2's show-codes-once page already relies on, with the assertion exchange of §4. That exists. But the text cites §14, whose row describes something else and says it is not built. A.1 asked to move that row to built-when "roster writes (suite §5.4)"; the branch did neither. **Coordinator's item 3 confirmed, with the nuance that the fix is one of two: cite `sessions.Fresh`/§5.2 and leave §14 alone, or move the §14 row as A.1 says. As written the spec cites as its mechanism a row that says the mechanism is deliberately not built.** ## 5. Call 8 Specified enough in direction, credential, scope, return shape and paging. Not an oracle in §5.1's sense — the caller supplies no refs to probe and receives only its own team. Missing before it is buildable: - Refusal shape for `team=` not the caller's: should follow gate 4 (identical to unknown, never 403). Unstated. - **Epoch must be per team**, or an epoch bump in one team leaks a cross-team activity signal to every instance in the suite (ruling 1). Unstated. - Gate 10: call 8 is a bearer-authenticated GET on the home; §11 says the edge caches any 2xx GET with positive `max-age` and "does not refuse on a request `Cookie`". Whether it refuses on `Authorization` is unknown; gate 10's "every authenticated response" should name call 8 explicitly. - §12 gains no home-side gate (scope enforcement, wrong-team 404). Suite gate 5 tests the instance side only. - **§9 does gain rows 7 and 8, but that makes §6 (line 671) false:** "**no call in this table runs home→instance**… (The one call that does run home→instance is call 7… approved, not built…)". Call 7 is now in the table. - Sequencing: 13a says call 8 waits on step 4, but the roster write screen, its step-up, and the drain seed have no step in §13 (step 6, the drain, does not mention seeding). ## 6. Consistency with today's merges - **§2 (line 169) is now false and unamended:** "so a compromised directory grants nothing. A compromised home costs the graph and a convenience outage. It does not cost a document." The branch's own §13a says a compromised directory origin "can add a member, and a member reads everything team-visible in every instance of that team… That is the blast radius ruling 23 actually adds." §13a's "§2's careful sentence… does not cover all of them" is too gentle: §2's sentence is directly contradicted, and it is the blast-radius sentence. Amend §2, not just annotate it from §13a. - **§5.3's claims table has no `roster_epoch` row** (zero occurrences on the branch) while §5.4 says the epoch "rides the assertion". A.1 asked for it explicitly. §5.3's own text: "Two consumers were about to guess." - **§5.4's exception is present** — coordinator item 2 is a false negative: line 539, "**One narrow exception, added 2026-09-05: an invalidation hint.**", unhyphenated. Its argument matches doctrine §5.3 and is sound: only the signer can put a hostile epoch in, and the instance enforces call 8's answer. - **§10 recovery** "Recovery is the instances' own copies plus an owner's confirmation… or it is re-entry by hand." No channel carries an instance's copy to the home (call 2 cannot; no instance→home roster push exists), so "the instances' copies" means an operator reading an instance database by hand — one option dressed as two. And after an unfamiliar generation "admits nobody on team standing until an owner confirms it" — say the confirming owner is one from the *stale copy*, or the confirmation is circular. - **AGENTS.md** is untouched: its falsifiable form, "Never hold an authorization model", and "Never federate. Data does not cross an instance boundary" now disagree with the spec. AGENTS.md: "the spec wins and this file is wrong — fix it in the same commit." `2b68301` did so in one commit. The activity-pull precedent allows "on approval, not now", so this can follow review — but it must land in the same merge. - Gates 1 and 9, ruling 22, `design-activity-pull` §4–5 and §5.1: no contradiction found. - Note: the doctrine at `210312f` says in its own status block "**Revision 4 has not been reviewed.**" The home is binding itself to an unreviewed revision. Doctrine `origin/main` `574cc84` is still revision 4 and its A.1 now names this branch and says 23; citing that commit would match what landed. ## 7. Numbering and the §1 table 23 is correct (22 is team selection; doctrine `210312f` line 51 anticipated the collision; `574cc84` A.1 confirms R3-12). None of A.1's ruling text was lost in the renumber. Two defects: **row 23 is inserted between rows 21 and 22** — the table is out of order; and **the Rejected column names only the doctrine's rev-1 derivation, not the thing ruling 23 actually overturns** — `main`'s status quo, where team standing lived only in each instance's grants and the home held no roster (§5.5, §7). That is the alternative Paul was choosing against and it should be in the column. ## 8. Overstated or unresolved - The status line still says "rulings 17-22" and records no reviewer for ruling 23 (AGENTS.md: record the model in the status line). - Pegamento "§10.3" resolves: `docs/doctrine.md` §10 item 3, "a compromised glue grants nothing". §13a's reframing (the home "was never a §10.3 glue") is fair. - 13a's row 8 "Only the home can mint an assertion, which is why call 7 carries one and sibling calls do not" — matches doctrine ruling 8 and §6.1. - 13a's "It holds the signing key (§5.3)… §5.4 already calls a hostile `sub` account takeover… true since ruling 1" — all resolve. ## Coordinator's checklist, answered 1. `roster_epoch` in §5.3 — **confirmed absent.** 2. §5.4 exception — **present** (line 539, "an invalidation hint", no hyphen). Your grep missed it. 3. §14 step-up row — **confirmed unchanged; contradiction confirmed as a citation defect**, with the two-way fix in §4 above. 4. Renumber lost no A.1 text — **confirmed.** ## Blocking, in order 1. §2's "grants nothing / does not cost a document" (line 169). 2. §7's quotation of a deleted §2.2 clause (line 726) and "neither path forms one" (line 762); ruling 19's "never 'may this person'". 3. Ruling 15's ground under the rewritten bullet (line 232), plus §5.2 and §14's trigger. 4. §3.3's broken "some person" citation and its unupdated de-anonymisation argument; §3.2's inventory. 5. `roster_epoch` in §5.3's table. 6. The §14 step-up citation (lines 640, 959). 7. §6's "no call in this table runs home→instance" (line 671). Non-blocking but should land with it: seed mechanics (address → person_ref, sibling drains), §5.5, call 8's per-team epoch and wrong-team refusal, gate 10 naming call 8, §13 sequencing for the write path, §1 row order and Rejected column, status line, AGENTS.md in the same merge.</result> <usage><subagent_tokens>137454</subagent_tokens><tool_uses>21</tool_uses><duration_ms>403214</duration_ms></usage> </task-notification>
