fiesta-1-1
Fiesta 1.1.0. Everything new is opt-in: unchanged 1.0 markup renders exactly as before.
What 1.1 adds:
- The column's footer row, rst-page-foot. Menus that sat above a column's title move there.
- The Row Rule in DESIGN.md, with a check: a dropdown sits inline in a row, never on a line of its own. The examples now follow it, and so does the landing page.
- rst-snippet with js/copy.js: a line of code with a Copy button. It announces success and failure, and selects the code when copying fails.
- rst-side and rst-side-nav: a sidebar inside a panel that becomes a row of links when the panel is narrow.
- seg-tabs as buttons, including disabled ones.
- Two opt-in phone layouts: rst-stats="pairs" and rst-status="inline".
- releases/1.1.0. /1.0.0/ is unchanged. Sizes, gzip: fiesta.css 23,823, fiesta-plain.css 23,104, fiesta-signal.css 23,217.
- The landing site drops its own copies of all of these and uses Fiesta's.
How the /1/ promise is kept:
- TestEveryOneOhDeclarationStillApplies.
- TestEveryNewRuleRequiresNewMarkup, with a narrow selector grammar.
- The 1.0 photographs, taken with deterministic raster at zero tolerance.
- Every CSS reader in the checks now goes through one string- and escape-aware scanner.
- Reduced motion is now checked in the browser across every example state.
Who did it: Claude Opus 5.5 (claude-opus-5-5), reasoning high. The controller and the implementing subagents ran on that model.
Evidence:
- Every new test was run against the code before its change, and failed for the right reason. The red and green runs are in the task discussions: 27 to 31 and 33 to 36.
- Astra (gpt-6-astra, reasoning high) reviewed the spec and plan over three rounds, every task, and the whole branch over four rounds. Discussion 37 has the prompts, the whole replies and what was done about each finding.
- Translations in the eleven non-English catalogs are machine drafts from approved English, listed in drafts.json. They have not been reviewed.
- All English was approved in copy review.
Before landing: Paul's screen-reader check of Copy (discussion 32).
Follow-ups, not in 1.1:
- internal/tokens reads theme :root blocks without the scanner, for the gallery's tokens page.
- On a phone, the sample's side nav scrolls past the window's edge.
