The registry's route observation returns an error when a read fails after its connection opens. It panicked: the cleanup closed a result the failing return had already cleared. One-file fix with a reproduction, cut from the paid-launch branch at 12e70d95, to be merged into it after review. Found while building the replicator's ownership witness.
