Built, reviewed and green at 64c3db3e: forge CI passed and the local make test gate passes. Four Astra rounds closed. Not merged, not rolled.

Paul merges with amadan branch merge -squash. After a roll, check a static site with curl: Cache-Control: no-cache, a W/ ETag, no Last-Modified, and a 304 when the ETag is sent back as If-None-Match.

Nothing on the branch. Item 2 of #195 (an app marking paths immutable) needs a decision on how an app says it before anyone builds it.

The validator is a weak hash of the file's content and Content-Type, never the version name or the mtime. Every static response revalidates, assets included. Vary: Accept-Encoding on 304s is left to compress.go. A failed If-Match keeps Content-Type on its 412.
