Brief for the third review pass, aimed at revision 3's new material
Codex ran out of ChatGPT account quota partway through this pass, after reading the diff and the sibling specs but before writing findings. The brief is committed so the next attempt starts from the same instructions rather than a fresh guess at what to look at.

Attributed to this commit: 24.8 g CO₂e (3045757 tokens). This is an attribution, not a measurement — usage counted from this commit's own marker forward to the next one on worktree-doctrine-review, never backward from it. A turn that produced more than one commit books all of its tokens to the last one, and a concurrent session on this branch can add to the same figure. Some of it was priced using the shared default rate, because no model-specific factor row exists yet for at least one model involved. The Carbon view has the repo total, which is never derived from this attribution.

## What to review
`docs/superpowers/specs/2026-09-05-suite-sharing-doctrine.md` in this
-worktree. It is a design doctrine binding five apps. Read all of it.
+worktree, at revision 3. Read all of it.
-## History you need
+## History
-- **Revision 1** was drafted by one model (Fable 5.1) from a brainstorm
- with Paul, the repository owner.
-- **Revision 2** is revision 1 plus a review pass by a second model
- (Claude Opus 5), which found six defects and wrote corrections into the
- text. Every correction is marked `*(Review pass, 2026-09-05.)*`.
-- `git diff 609394e..HEAD` shows exactly what the review changed.
+- **Revision 1**, drafted by Fable 5.1 from a brainstorm with Paul, the
+ repository owner.
+- **Revision 2**, revision 1 plus a review pass by Claude Opus 5: six
+ defects, corrected in the text.
+- **Your own review** of revision 2 returned *request changes* with sixteen
+ findings. It is `CODEX-FINDINGS.md` in this directory, unchanged.
+- **Revision 3** claims to answer all sixteen, and adds a product
+ requirement Paul gave afterwards. `git diff 0c4f098..HEAD` is the whole
+ change; `git log` has the reasoning per commit.
## What matters most
-The status block and §14 flag that **three of those corrections change a
-rule and have been read by nobody but their author**. They are the
-priority of this review:
+**1. Are your sixteen findings actually answered, or only acknowledged?**
+Go through them one at a time. A finding is answered when the document
+would now survive the failure sequence you described, not when it cites
+your finding number beside a paragraph. Say plainly which are closed,
+which are half-closed, and which are worse than before. Four became
+rulings (12, 13, 14 from findings 1, 2 and 6; 15 is new) — check the
+ruling text does the work its finding asked for, and that its **rejected
+alternative** column is honest.
-1. **S2's answer is intersected with custody** (§4.3). Claim: without it,
- §4.2's "a sibling cannot learn that a private item exists" is false,
- because an item that leaves team-visibility shows in the S1 feed as
- `gone` — which §4.2 requires to be indistinguishable from deletion —
- while an unintersected S2 would answer `VISIBLE` for it to a grantee's
- asker and `NOT_VISIBLE` for a deleted one.
-2. **The S2/S6 asker subject is typed on the wire** (§3). Claim: its
- meaning is shape-dependent (person ref in suite shape, lowercased
- address in lone shape), nothing else on the wire says which, and a
- mismatched pair fails to `NOT_VISIBLE` — the one value §4.3 permits to
- be silent — for what is really a mis-provisioning.
-3. **The hand-off checks `Origin` and asks the person to commit** (§7.1).
- Claim: same registrable domain is what carries the session cookie and
- also what lets any same-site page drive a create; home call 6, whose
- shape §7.1 borrows, validates hosts against the consumers allowlist and
- binds to the browser (home spec §5.6), and §7.1 borrowed the shape
- without either.
+**2. The new material has had no review at all.** Look hardest at:
-For each: **is the defect real, is the correction right, and does the
-correction break something else?** A correction that is right for the
-wrong reason is a finding. So is one that costs a consumer something the
-review claimed it costs nothing.
+- **Ruling 12 and §5.1**, the membership record. It asserts three defects
+ in the old derivation, two of them factual claims about the home spec
+ (the directory row has no owner role; it is scoped per app, not per
+ team). Verify both against the home spec. Then ask what the new table
+ breaks: A.1 amends home §7, home §6 and home §0, and the roster is now
+ a thing the home holds that it did not before.
+- **Ruling 15 and §4.2**, the sharing ladder. This is the one row of §1
+ that is a proposal, not Paul's ruling. Four product states: private,
+ granted, team, and "anyone with the link can view or edit". The claim is
+ that a link is a capability beside the ladder, never a rung on it, so
+ custody keys on the rung. Test that against §0, against the change feed,
+ against S2 and S3, and against §7's write paths. Does a link-shared item
+ behave coherently everywhere? Is "link-shared and team-shared" handled?
+ What about a link created *after* ingest, or revoked after ingest?
+- **§7's provenance envelope and §7.3's link-holder writes**, both new.
+- **§7.1's receipt/commit split**, which answers your finding 4.
+- **§5.3's failed-refetch, rewind and paging rules**, which answer your
+ findings 5, 10 and 12. Check the availability trade in the stale case is
+ actually stated coherently and that `UNKNOWN` there does not collide
+ with another meaning of `UNKNOWN`.
-## Then the rest of the document
+**3. The gates, §11**, all nine rewritten. §11's own first line says a gate
+that cannot be written as stated is a spec bug. Can each now be written
+and run? Gate 6b is new.
-The review may have missed things or introduced new ones. Look hardest at:
-
-- §0's two falsifiable halves. Does the rest of the document actually
- satisfy them, or is there a path that breaks one?
-- The leak list, §9. Is it complete for the design as it now stands? Every
- new rule the review added should either be absent from it or accounted
- for.
-- The gates, §11. §11's own first line says a gate that cannot be written
- as stated is a spec bug. Can each one actually be written and run?
-- Anything the doctrine asserts about a sibling spec. **Verify the
- citations rather than trusting them** — the sibling repositories are on
- disk, read-only, at `/home/paulca/amadan.net/oficina/{home,docs,memoria,
- sheets-core,calendar}`, each with its spec under
- `docs/superpowers/specs/`. The review found one defect (finding 1) by
- reading memoria's §4.1 and noticing the doctrine's adoption of S2 did
- not match what memoria actually specifies. There may be more of those.
+**4. Verify citations rather than trusting them.** The sibling repos are on
+disk read-only at `/home/paulca/amadan.net/oficina/{home,docs,memoria,
+sheets-core,calendar}`. Your last review found the home checkout on a
+stale branch and used `home/.claude/worktrees/trunk` instead; do that
+again. Revision 3 added many new claims about sibling specs — every one is
+a place a mistake could hide.
## What to produce
-Write your findings to `CODEX-FINDINGS.md` in this worktree. For each
-finding: what is wrong, why it is wrong, how confident you are, and the
-smallest correction. Order by severity. If one of the three rule changes
-above is fine, say so explicitly and say why — a clean verdict on those is
-as useful as a defect.
+Write `CODEX-FINDINGS-R3.md` in this worktree. Structure it as:
+
+1. **A table of your sixteen original findings**, each marked closed,
+ partial or open, with one line saying why.
+2. **New findings** against revision 3's new material, ordered by
+ severity, each with: what is wrong, why, your confidence, and the
+ smallest correction.
+3. **A verdict**: approve, or request changes.
+4. **The gate-by-gate table**, refreshed.
-Do not edit the doctrine itself. Findings only.
