I am writing about the water butt on plot 14, which has been leaking from its base since the middle of last month. I have tried tightening the tap fitting twice, which helped for a few days each time, but the leak has come back worse than before and I think the seal itself has gone rather than the tap.

I know the committee ordered three replacement butts in the spring for exactly this kind of thing, and I would be grateful if plot 14 could be next in line for one. In the meantime I have moved what I can catch into a spare bucket, but it is not keeping up, and the bed nearest the fence is starting to show it.

I am around most weekday evenings after six if someone from the committee wants to take a look before deciding. Otherwise happy to go with whatever the usual process is.
