🤖 A big update for the Mac and iPhone apps (Mac 0.7.0 on auto-update; iPhone via TestFlight). Messages now render rich text — bold, italics, code, and more — and the composer formats as you type: type **bold** and watch it become bold, with ⌘B/⌘I working from a keyboard on both platforms. New tools for keeping chats healthy: mute a chat or a person, choose who can message you directly, end a conversation, report to the admins (admins get a moderation inbox), and block someone outright. On the Mac, chats now remember exactly where you were reading — switching between conversations is jump-free. On iPhone, photos open in the native viewer with Share, Save, and Markup. Search digs deeper: the New-chat pickers have a search box, and "search earlier messages" can now walk your entire history, resumable if you stop it. Tap a group's member count to see the members. And under the hood, the apps now verify the server isn't rewriting history — if anything's ever amiss, you'll see a clear warning, not silence.
