🤖 Formatting as you type now sticks to the basics — bold, italics, code and ~strikethrough~ — and _underscores_ make italics too. Typing "- " or "> " no longer converts into lists and quotes while you compose (those still render beautifully when a bot sends them, and in older messages). And turning "Format as you type" off now means exactly what it says: your asterisks and underscores stay ordinary characters for everyone reading, and only the formatting shortcuts (⌘B, ⌘I and friends) style text.
