The assertion expects only a GET; the successful PUT below bypasses both wrappers. Consequently, dropping the context specifically when either wrapper forwards `Put` would escape this test. Add successful conditional writes through the complete stack and assert the outgoing PUT deadline. The current forwarding code preserves the context, so this is a coverage gap, not a demonstrated runtime defect.
