R4-1 — Resolved. Task 8, Step 6 now checks whether the manifest contains WakeItem before reading it (plan:5635). An absent entry returns found=false, err=nil; a missing referenced object returns an error.

The new regression test publishes wake state, deletes its referenced object, and requires an error (plan:5445). It would fail against the previous implementation. The absent-entry test remains.

No new findings. The changed code’s imports, signatures, and earlier-task dependencies are consistent. Task 8’s four Go blocks passed syntax checks. This was a static review; proposed tests were not executed, and no files changed.

Verdict: ready to build.
