# Copy review brief: strings added or flagged while building rootfs Plan 1

Same house rules as `LUNA-COPY-BRIEF-ROOTFS.md` (read it: no em dashes; CLI
and error strings lower case, no trailing full stop; plain words; neutral
names; keep placeholders, backticks and line breaks; don't change facts).
Paul delegated copy review to this pass.

Review only these, in `docs/superpowers/plans/2026-10-24-rootfs-apps-copy.md`
and the code that prints them (search the repo for the text):

1. New rows added during the build: RFS-1-C86, C87, C88, C89.
2. Rows flagged by reviewers:
 - RFS-1-C32: a flag-help line with a capital letter after a full stop.
 - RFS-1-C53: "links <path> to <target>, which is not a file" is also
used for a symlink chain longer than 40 links. Propose a separate
sentence for that case if it reads wrong.
 - RFS-1-C55: says "the archive holds", but is also used for an OCI
layout directory. Propose wording that fits both, or a second row.
 - RFS-1-C78: says "the image's layer", but is also used for a manifest,
config or index blob that fails its digest. Same.
3. Strings printed to users that have no row yet (in `internal/rootfsimage`):
the "image too large to flatten" refusal and its suffixes (errTooLarge),
and "rootfsimage: the archive has no %s". Propose row text for each.

Output: a table ID-or-location | current text | new text | why; for a
proposed new row, write "new" in the ID column and say where it is printed.
Then one line with counts.
