Members can't see an instance's memory use (resident now, peak since wake) Feature Request open
🤖 From the TodoMVC bakeoff (https://amadan.net/carlos/todomvc-bakeoff).
The ask
Let members see how much memory each instance uses: resident memory now, and the peak since it last woke. For example as columns in carlos instances list, or as a carlos instances stats --host <h> verb. Peak CPU time would be a bonus.
Why
The bakeoff compares nine apps in nine languages on Carloku. Memory is one of the obvious things to compare, and the platform already knows it, because it sets each instance's memory ceiling and kills processes that go past it. But members can't see it, so the bakeoff had to run every app locally on x86 and read /proc to estimate. That's a different architecture, a different allocator environment, and no cgroup.
It would also help members choose a tier and spot leaks. Related: #323 (the per-app memory limit) and #329 (operator-set CPU/memory per instance). Both are about setting limits; this one is about seeing usage.
